The Anderson County Historical Society is located on the corner of 6th and Maple in Garnett, KS. The museum is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and by appointment on Mondays. The Anderson County Historical Society has many records including genealogical files, marriage licenses, death records, a Bible collection, Civil War books, an immigrant book, funeral home records, etc. They also have a museum containing exhibits on Anderson county history.
