The Anderson County Historical Society Dorothy K. Lickteig, President The Anderson County Historical Society is located on the corner of 6th and Maple in Garnett, KS. The museum is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and by appointment on Mondays. The Anderson County Historical Society has many records including genealogical files, marriage licenses, death records, a Bible collection, Civil War books, an immigrant book, funeral home records, etc. They also have a museum containing exhibits on Anderson county history.
