Sister Hannah and Bro. Tom. I wrote in reply to your last a few days after I received it, and as yet have not heard from you, but suppose you did not get my letter. I wrote in regard to buying sheep. It was your wish that I should give the amount I received of you last fall to John and let him buy but as you said you would be out in September I thought I would waite until you come out and I would assist you in buying as John is so buisy with his Cattle I know he would not have tim to gather up the sheep as he would have to do to get good Sheep. I will pay interest for the use of the money while I have had it so you will not be out of pocket any. The man who was keeping my sheep for me had rather bad luck with them last season, the weather being very wet they did not do well at all. I lost nearly fifty head during last winter so I don't know but what you are a little luckey in not having any to loose. We are all pretty well at present also Johns and Alfreds family. There is considerable cholera in Kansas City, St. Louis and other western Towns, but we think we will not have any out in the country where we live. It has been very healthy here this summer and I think if you conclude to make Kansas your home you will have as good health as you have in Maryland. The cholera has somewhat checked emigration for the present but we expect another rush this fall so you had better come out and see our country before it is all bought up. Give my respects to all of my friends in Maryland, and write soon. Mary and the little ones send their love and would like to see you and all their little cousins in Maryland. In your next tell me when we can look for you out. Yours, etc. H.C. Moler.
