Interment was in LaHarpe Cemetery. Mr. Driskel died Friday, February 24, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Glenn Wade Driskel was born November 8, 1962, at Iola, the son of Ike J. and Viola May (Peters) Driskel. He graduated from Marmaton Valley High School with the Class of 1981. Mr. Driskel was preceded in death by his father Ike Driskel, in 2003. Glenn is survived by his special friend, Rolene Goodno of LaHarpe; his mother Viola May Driskel of Moran; and his brothers, Craig E. Driskel of Omaha, NE, Barry D. Driskel of Moran, David D. Driskel of Iola, Jeff I. Driskel of LaHarpe, Brian J. Driskel of Chanute, and Troy L. Driskel of Iola. Feuerborn Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 4: "Charles Lawrence McVey 1932-2006 Memorial services for Charles Lawrence McVey, 73, Paola, formerly of Springfield, MO, were Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Mr. McVey died Wednesday, February 22, at North Point Nursing Home in Paola. Charles Lawrence McVey was born April 6, 1932, near Garnett, the son of Alfred Allen and Geneve (Kerr) McVey. He attended school in Garnett and graduated from high school at Blue Mound with the Class of 1950. Chuck served his country with the United States Air Force and retired after 23 years of service. He went into the Air Force the day after he graduated from high school. His stint with the Air Force took him to France and Guam. He was married to Stella Montoya on August 11, 1951, at Denver, CO. They became the parents of four children. Their marriage ended in divorce. On June 4, 1984, Chuck was married to Thelma Willene (Perry) Stafford in Miami County. He was raised in the Assembly of God Church in Garnett and then joined the catholic church in the early 1950's. He was a member of the VFW. Mr. McVey was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Geneve McVey; and a brother and sister who were twins, Marvell and Orvill. Chuck is survived by his wife, Thelma, of Springfield, MO; four children from his previous marriage, sons David, and twins Michael and Patrick, all of Victorville, CA, and his daughter, Lori McVey Ray of Hobbs, NM; his brother, Hillery McVey of Paola; six step-children, Connie Cookeron, Jess Stafford, Johnny Stafford, Pat Whitely, and Violet Fries, all of Springfield, and Suzie Sneed of Willard, MO; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
