Cremation was planned following the services. Mr. Kelsey died Friday, March 24, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Aaron Kelsey was born October 6, 1945, at Bronx, NY, the son of Joseph Steligo and Cora Kelsey. He had lived in Richmond since 1985. He moved to the Midwest from New York in 1976. He also lived in Wellsville, Olathe, and Kansas City, KS. He attended Binghamton (New York) High School. For 30 years, Aaron worked in construction and was very proud to be a Union member. He served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Ottawa and Local Union #1290, Kansas City, KS. Aaron and Lynn Riegel were married November 19, 1979, in Colorado. Mr. Kelsey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Steligo; his mother, Cora Kelsey; and his grandsons, Tariq Abdullah and John R. Klenchik. Aaron is survived by his wife, Lynn, of the home; his children, daughter and husband, Dr. Lori and Bradley Sakaguchi of Waipahu, HI, daughter and husband, Lisa and James Dutton of Mount Bethel, PA, son and wife, Aaron Thomas and Lora Kelsey of Springfield, IL, daughter, Dawn Daly of Binghamton, NY, son, Cole Aaron Kelsey of the home, and daughter, Jade Marie Kelsey of the home; his sister and husband, Patricia and Michael Paulo of Rochester, NY, his sister, Cora Chase of Savannah, GA, his sister, Virginia Chase of Colony, his brother and wife, K. Lewis and Laura Chase of Endicott, NY; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 4: "Florence Casida 1909-2006 Funeral services for Florence Casida, 96, Overland Park, formerly of Garnett, are Friday, March 31, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment is in Garnett Cemetery. Mrs. Casida died Monday, March 17, at Overland Park Nursing and Rehab Manor. Florence Casida was born November 15, 1909, at Chanute, the daughter of Carl Shurz and Grace (Maxwell) Russell. Florence had two sisters, Maxine and Dorothy, and one brother, Jim Russell. She later moved to Garnett with her family. She graduated from Garnett High School and then went on to William Woods College in Fulton, MO, graduating in 1929. Florence and Walter H. Casida were married September 15, 1929, at Garnett. This marriage was blessed with four children, Joanne C., Carl Frederick, Michael Frederick, and Rebecca C. He preceded her in death. Florence and her family were members of the First United Methodist Church in Garnett. Mrs. Casida was also preceded in death by her son, Carl Frederick Casida; her parents, Carl and Grace Russell; her sisters, Maxine Settles and Dorothy Farris; and her brother, James Russell. Florence is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Teresa Casida of Bella Vista, OK; her daughters, Joanne Casida of Prairie Village, and Rebecca C. Keller and her husband Robert of Overland Park; her seven grandchildren, David Casida, Michael Casida, Jonathan Payne, Kimberly Jenkins, Chris Johnson, Nathan Temple, and Allison Klein; and her eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Alexandria, Conner, Katie, Makensie, Cloey, Cameron, and Corey. For 96 years, this family has been loved by her as we have loved in return. Her knowledge, wisdom, and wonderful smile will forever be missed. Casketbearers were Michael Casida, David Casida, Christopher Johnson, Nathan Temple, and Jonathan Payne.
