Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg. Mrs. Carter died Monday, May 1, at St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza, Kansas City, MO. Glennice Elizabeth Carter was born December 18, 1915, at Pittsburg, the daughter of Glenn William and Martha Elizabeth (Baxter) Ferguson. She grew up in Pittsburg, graduating from Pittsburg High School and earning her teaching degree from Kansas State Teacher's College of Pittsburg in 1937. Glennice and Emmanuel Carter were married August 28, 1937, at Hermann, MO. This union was blessed with three children. Emmanuel preceded her in death on April 19, 1982. The couple lived in the Kansas City, Joplin, and Pittsburg areas before moving to Garnett in 1957. She taught school at Garnett for 18 years, teaching sixth grade, high school science, kindergarten, and first grade. Glennice was a member of First Christian Church, Women's Council and the Opportunity Class at the church, P.E.O., Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, and was a former member of BPW and the Order of the Eastern Star. Glennice loved her family. She will be remembered for her care for all God's creatures, especially cats; her enjoyment of traveling; her love of sports; her generous spirit; beautiful smile; and her never-ending faith, great kindness to all, and her love for her family and God. Mrs. Carter was also preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Martha Ferguson. Glennice is survived by her sons, Donald E. Carter and his wife Susan DeTine-Carter of Corfu, NY, and Brian E. Carter and his wife Rita of Des Moines, IA; her daughter, Sharon L. Nicholson of Paola; her grandchildren, Scott S. Carter, Darla D. Carter, Katherine E. Carter, Donald W. Carter, Rachel M. Carter, Joel M. Carter, and David A. Nicholson; and her brothers, Donald C. Widner of Pittsburg and W. Norman Ferguson of Joplin, MO. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist. Musical selections included 'The Lord's Prayer' sung by Rita Carter and congregational hymns 'Because He Lives' and 'Jesus Is All The World To Me'. Casketbearers were Scott S. Carter, Donald W. Carter, Joel M. Carter, and David A. Nicholson. Honorary casketbearers were Steve Spring, Gary Stapp, and Earl 'Butch' Rocker. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church. Donaldson, 92, Topeka, were Friday, May 5, 2006, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Mitchell officiating. Interment was in Lone Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Donaldson died Tuesday, May 2, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Mary E. Donaldson was born August 15, 1913, at Vilas, CO, the daughter of Phillip L. and Louise (Martsching) Goehring. Mary and Willa S. 'Bill' Donaldson were married on July 3, 1932, at Welda. They were married for 64 years before he preceded her in death. She and her husband owned a grocery store and raised their family in Selma. They moved to Lone Elm in 1958 and owned a grocery store at that location until 1963. She operated the grocery stores while Bill worked for Katy Railroad. She lived in Paola from 1968 to April 1996, than moved to Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was a faithful member of Countryside United Methodist Church in Topeka and was a 50-year member of Kincaid Chapter #455 Order of the Eastern Star. Mary loved people and had many friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Mrs. Donaldson was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Donald R. Stiffler and Dennis A. Donaldson. Mary is survived by her sons, W. Dean Donaldson of Irving, TX, Milton L. Donaldson of Charlotte, NC, Martin M. Donaldson of Topeka, Henry R. 'Jack' Donaldson of Moran, and Tony L. Donaldson of Garnett; her daughter, Leahnora Stiffler of LeRoy; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Paul Houk. Musical selections included 'In The Garden', 'Love Lifted Me', and 'Let It Be'. Casketbearers were Phillip Donaldson, Jerry Donaldson, Eric Donaldson, Kelly Donaldson, Adam Donaldson, and Joshua Stiffler. Honorary casketbearers were Brad Donaldson, A. Jerry Donaldson, Jeff Donaldson, Matt Donaldson, Ryan Stiffler, and Justin Stiffler. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements." "Irene B. Feuerborn Mass of Christian Burial for Irene B. Feuerborn, Garnett, is Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment is in Holy Angels Cemetery. Mrs. Feuerborn died Sunday, May 7, at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care Facility. A wake service was held on Tuesday, May 9, at 7:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, with the family greeting friends after." Page 5, Column 3: "Sara Lynn Vallier 1954-2006 Funeral services for Sara Lynn Vallier, 52, Richmond, are Wednesday, April 10, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Ottawa University Chapel. Interment is in Princeton Cemetery. Mrs. Vallier died Saturday, May 6, at Olathe Medical Center. Sara Lynn Vallier was born February 10, 1954, at Horton, the daughter of W.F. and Claudine (Jarvis) Critchfield. She had lived in the Richmond area for the last 32 years, moving from Overland Park. In her youth, she lived in many locations, including the Effingham area. Lynn graduated from Ruston (Louisiana) High School with the Class of 1972. She attended Louisiana State University, Ottawa University, Johnson County Community College, and Neosho County Community College, held certifications as a Certified Medical Assistant, Radiologist Assistant, and a Physicians Office Libratory Technician. For many years, Lynn has been employed as a lab technician/supervisor at several area clinics including Covenant Health Care Lab in Overland Park and Olathe, Professional Plaza Lab in Ottawa, the Associates in Family Care of Osawatomie and Paola, and the Urgent Care Center, OMSI. She was a member of the Franklin County Medical Assistants and held offices of secretary, treasurer, historian, vice president, and president. She was a member and past president of the Kansas Medical Assistants Society. She was a member of the American Society of Radiology Technicians and Franklin County Breast Cancer Support Group. She had also attended several local churches. Lynn and Verle Vallier were married on August 3, 1974, at Ottawa. He survives of their home. Mrs. Vallier was preceded in death by her father, W.F. Critchfield. Lynn is also survived by her mother, Claudine Critchfield of Richmond; her sister, Theda Gay Onofrietti of Arlington, TX; and several nieces and nephews. The family greeted friends on Tuesday, April 9, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Franklin County Cancer Foundation, Ruhamah Baptist Church, or Fifth Floor Women's Health Care Unit of Olathe Medical Center.
