Interment was in Colony Cemetery. Mr. Lindberg died Thursday, May 25, at his home. Maurice Jr. Lindberg was born September 30, 1937, at Everett, WA, the son of Maurice William and Esther Mae (Guy) Lindberg. His family moved to Kansas in 1939, living in Savonburg, Walnut, and Kimball before moving to Colony in 1949. He was a graduate of Colony High School and served with the Kansas National Guard. Jr. worked for Morris Elevator for many years. He was a member of the Colony Lions Club and served on the Colony Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Jr. and Delene Ra Lieurance were married November 18, 1978, at Humboldt. She survives of their home. Mr. Lindberg was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Esther Lindberg. Jr. is also survived by his brother, Ron E. Lindberg of The Dalles, OR; his sisters, Betty Jo Miller and her husband Don of Mason City, IA, and Patty Eisenbart and her husband Bill of Iola; and nine nieces and nephews. Music was provided by Lloyd Houk who sang 'The Old Rugged Cross', 'In The Garden', and 'How Great Thou Art'. Casketbearers were Steven Weatherman, Bob Swift, Weldon Goodell, John Rook, Paul Stephens, and Gene Anderson. Honorary casketbearers were Bill Ulrich, Bob Barnett, and Clair Wiley. Bones 1913-1006 Funeral services for Hazel M. (Pederson) Bones, 92, Ottawa, were Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS. Mrs. Bones died Wednesday, May 24, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Hazel M. Bones was born August 8, 1913, at Ottawa, the daughter of Gilbert and Jennie (Shaw) Pederson. She grew up and attended various country grade schools in the Princeton area. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1931. She was united in marriage to Dale F. Bones on June 28, 1931, at Leoti, KS. They shared nearly 61 years of marriage before he passed away on May 5, 1993. Hazel was a devoted and loving housewife most of her life. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for the family business. She lived in Princeton for most of her life and was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, and later she and Dale would become members of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa after moving there in 1980. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Hazel enjoyed tending their garden and flower beds. She loved to go traveling with her husband where they drove all across the United States together. Hazel was very well known throughout her family for her wonderful country home cooking, which could not be compared to anybody. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends and she had a way of doing the 'little things' for people which will always be remembered by her beloved family. Mrs. Bones was also preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Jennie Pederson; her daughter, Lois Frank; and her brother, Ole Pederson. Hazel is survived by her son, Dale E. Bones and his wife Juanita of Princeton; her daughter, Evelyn 'June' Gaddis and her husband Lauren of Bazine, KS: her son-in-law, Wally Frank of Sedalia, MO; her grandchildren, David, Steve, Jana, Sandy, Mark, Mike, Marlon, Meleah, Lori, Kelly, and Stephanie; 29 great-grandchildren and eight great- great-grandchildren. Page 5, Column 2: "Dellmar J. Burrows 1917-2006 Funeral services for Dellmar J. Burrows, 88, Osawatomie, formerly of Lane, were Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Interment was in Lane Cemetery. Mr. Burrows died Saturday, May 27, at Vintage Park Assisted Living in Osawatomie. Dellmar J. Burrows was born June 3, 1917, at Valentine, NE. He was the oldest of seven children born to Jay Burrows, Sr. and Emma Belle (Hobson) Burrows. His family moved to Augusta, KS, in 1926 where he attended Augusta High School. Dellmar was united in marriage to Erma Maxine Delbert on July 20, 1936, at Little River, KS. They became the parents of two children. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. From 1936 until 1942, Dellmar worked heavy construction and oil fields in many states. His family moved 13 times within one year during that time period. In 1943, Dellmar moved his family to Paola where he set up a pipe fabricating shop for Fluor. He left Fluor in 1958 and set of BEHM in Greeley, Osawatomie, Garnett, and Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. They moved to their farm at rural Lane in 1964. He retired in 1979. They moved to Vintage Park Assisted Living in Osawatomie in November of 2004. His many hobbies included horse racing, golfing, welding, and reading. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Lane United Methodist Church. He also had memberships in the American Quarter Horse Association, the Pipefitter's Union, and was a lifetime member of the American Welding Society. He served on the State Banking Board in Topeka and also on the First National Bank Board in Osawatomie. Mr. Burrows was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Emma Burrows; his brothers, Harlan, Clifford, and Jay; and his sisters, Beulah Lambert and Jean Bishop. Dellmar is survived by his wife, Maxine, of the home; his son, James M. Burrows and his wife Carol of Overland Park; his daughter, Jane M. Stout and her husband Bob of Lane; his brother, Dan Burrows of Ocean Springs, MS; his grandchildren, Shane Stout of Lane, Bruce Stout of Olathe, Elizabeth Stout-Rhine of Lane, Mindy Shane of Olathe, Holly Burrows of Lenexa, and Kerry Adam of Overland Park; his great-grandchildren, Hanna, Jacob, Joshua, and Tyler Shane, Addie Voback, Matthew and Madelaine Adam, Steffany Madden, Kaylee and Kelsey Stout, Kaitlyn and Taylor Stout, and Caleb Rhine; and other relatives and friends. Casketbearers were Matt Adam, Kelly McNeery, Josh Madden, Eric Lagasse, David Rhine, John Watts, Rick Cole, and Bryan Lagasse. Page 5, Column 3: "Melvin L. Miller 1919-2006 Funeral services for Melvin L. Miller, 86, Garnett, were Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at First Christian Church with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Garnett Cemetery. Mr. Miller died Friday, May 26, at his home. Melvin L. Miller was born September 25, 1919, at Garnett, the son of Frank Miller, Sr. and Hazel (Williamson) Miller. He was a mechanic and had owned the Serene Miller Ford Tractor dealership in partnership with Jack Serene. Later, he had a small engine repair shop and sold Stihl equipment. He was a member of First Christian Church and Garnett VFW Post 6397. He loved woodworking, gardening, and fishing. Melvin served with the United States Army and was stationed on the Aleutian Islands during World War II. Melvin and Ilena Lawellin were married June 8, 1946, at Garnett. This union was blessed with two sons and one daughter. She survives of their home. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Miller; his grandson, Corey Young; his brothers, Russell Miller, Ernest Miller, and Bob Miller; and his sister, Laura Smith. Melvin is also survived by his sons, Tarry Miller and Linda of Garnett and Mike Miller and Jackie of Lenexa; his daughter, Patty Young and Greg Cady of Lenexa; his brother, Frank Miller, Jr. of Garnett; his grandchildren, Todd and Brian Miller, Kari Schwartz, Heather, Eric, Jason, and Chris Miller, and Dustin Young; and his great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Landon Schwartz, Gage and Josie Miller, and Kannon Ivy. Music was provided by Teresa and Rob Meyerkorth. Musical selections included 'The Lord's Prayer' and 'I Will Always Love You'. Rob Meyerkorth also played 'Amazing Grace' as a violin selection at the cemetery. Casketbearers were Todd Miller, Brian Miller, Eric Miller, Jason Miller, Chris Miller, and Dustin Young.
