McCall 1915-2006 Funeral services for Myron E. McCall, 90, Kansas City, MO, were Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona. Mr. McCall died Friday, May 19, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Myron E. McCall was born November 28, 1915, at Wellsville, the son of William Keeling and Phoebe (Evans) McCall. He grew up in Richmond and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1935. For a short time after his marriage, he moved to Garnett and to Radcliffe, VA. In 1944 he moved to Ottawa. After retiring, he moved to live with his daughter in Kansas City, MO. He worked at the Keppel Farm of Ottawa and at Red Logan's Electric of Garnett for a short time. In 1943, he began working for Sunflower Army Ammunition in Radcliffe, VA. In 1944 Myron moved to Sunflower Army Ammunition in Desoto. In 1946, he became owner and operator of McCall's Electric Motor Service of Ottawa, retiring in 1993. In addition to his business, Myron was also a projectionist at Hill Crest Drive-In from 1961 to 1963 and at Plaza Theatre from 1963 to 1984. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows in Ottawa. Myron and Maxine Slavens were married April 21, 1940, at Waterville, KS. She preceded him in death on November 25, 1993. Mr. McCall was also preceded in death by his parents, William and Phoebe McCall; his brothers, Raymond McCall and Cecil Eugene McCall; his sister, Margaret Green; and his granddaughter, Shannon September Hill. Myron is survived by his daughters, Rosita Cheryl Criqui, Marilyn Virginia Sutton, Sylvia Roxanne Hill, and Lynda Paige Campbell, all of Ottawa, and Myra Lina Fogarty of Kansas City MO; his son, John Daryl McCall of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Ryan Curtis, Stephen Curtis, Dana Sutton, Donna Conner, Mike Hill, Mark Hill, Jennifer Hill, Matthew Hill, Michele Campbell, Scott Campbell, Edith Ruckman, Andrea Fogarty, Geoffrey McCall, Erin McCall, and Evan McCall; and 13 great-grandchildren. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 2: "Donald A. 'Tiny' Noyes 1962-2006 Funeral services for Donald A. 'Tiny' Noyes, 43, Welda, were Friday, May 26, 2006, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Welda Cemetery. Mr. Noyes died Monday, May 22, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center, Pittsburg. Donald A. Noyes was born June 18, 1962, at Kansas City, MO, the son of Ronald and Martha (Ball) Noyes. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1980. Tiny worked for Anderson County for 16 years at the road department and has been self- employed since 2000. He joined the Welda fire department in 1983 and was fire chief for the last 10 years until March of 2006. He was also involved in the Garnett Jaycees and was a reserve for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, car racing, demolition derbies, and cookouts. Tiny and Sandra Turner were married November 19, 1983, at Welda. She survives of their home. Mr. Noyes was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Martha Noyes. Tiny is also survived by his brother, Rick Noyes of LaHarpe; his mother-in-law, Betty Turner of Welda; his brother-in-law, Charles Turner of Iola; his sister-in-law, Charlene Turner of Welda; his nieces Angela Noyes of Iola, Dawn Jones and her children, Tucker and Tyler Jones, of Welda, Carla Turner and her children, Cassandra and Alan Michael, of Ottawa, and Rachel Noyes of Florida; and his nephew, Dillon Noyes of Iola. Music was provided by Karen Revey. Musical selections included 'One Day At A Time' and 'In The Garden'. Casketbearers were Mike Spellmeier, Rick Feuerborn, Brad McGregor, Leland McGraw, George Kellerman, Farrel King, J.D. Mersman, and Richard Buckle. The family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Crippled Children or Kansas State Firefighter's Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 3: "Melvin Miller 1919-2006 Funeral services for Melvin Miller, 86, Garnett were Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at First Christian Church with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating.
