  Jim Wells, 81, Garnett, formerly of Santa Clara, CA, died Friday, June 9, 2006, at
  Golden Heights Living Center.  Survivors include his sister, Doris Ulses of Garnett. 
  Services will be held in California.  A complete obituary will appear in the next
  Advocate.
  Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements."
  
  "Helen Marie Wilson
  1929-2006
  Funeral services for Helen Marie Wilson, 77, Lawrence, were Friday, June 17, 2006, at
  Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Interment was in Lone Elm Cemetery, Lone Elm, KS. 
  Mrs. Wilson died Sunday, June 11, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
  Helen Marie Wilson was born February 3, 1929, at Lawrence, the daughter of Cecil D.
  and Ethel May (Ross) Amyx.  She was a graduate of Liberty Memorial High School in
  1947.  She then attended the University of Kansas where she received a B.A. in English. 
  She worked at the University of Kansas Library for two years.
  Helen was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and the
  National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
  Helen and Alexander H. Wilson were married on January 25, 1952, at Garnett.  He
  preceded her in death on August 10, 1997.
  Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son, Eric Wilson, of Falls Church, VA; her brother, Tom
  M. Amyx of Lawrence; and three grandchildren.
  The family suggests memorial contributions to Central United Methodist Church and
  may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 West 13th Street, Lawrence, KS
  66044-3402, which was in charge of arrangements."
