Goodloe 1958-2006 Funeral services for Michael R. Goodloe, 48, Stilwell, KS, were Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Stilwell Methodist Church. Interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. Mr. Goodloe died Wednesday, July 12, at KU Medical Center. Michael R. Goodloe was born January 14, 1958, at Kansas City, KS, the son of Robert A. and Joanne E. (Stuteville) Goodloe. He grew up in Shawnee and Spring Hill before the family made their home in Stilwell in 1972. Michael graduated from Blue Valley High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to Joyce Broderick on November 20, 1982, at Stanley. Michael lived in Louisburg and Richmond before moving back to Stilwell to make his home. He had a strong work ethic and was self-employed most of his life as an antique dealer. For a short time, he was employed at King Radio. Michael was a former member of the Stilwell Methodist Church. He enjoyed farm life, working with cattle, hunting, fishing, refurbishing homes, woodworking, antiquing, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Goodloe was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Eileen Stuteville, Lillian and Robert Beebe, and Harold Goodloe; his aunt, Merrian Stuteville; his uncle, Kenneth Goodloe, and Joyce Goodloe. Michael leaves behind his daughters, Natalie Goodloe of Louisburg and Katie Goodloe Auth and her husband, James of Stilwell; his parents, Robert and Joanne Goodloe of Stilwell; his brothers, Steven Goodloe and his wife, Rebecca, and Joseph Goodloe, all of Stilwell; his nephews, Shawn Brittingham and Josh Goodloe, both of Stilwell, and Vaughan Goodloe and Corbin Goodloe, both of Olathe; his great-niece, Trinity Brittingham of Stilwell; and a host of other family members, all of whom will miss him greatly. The family suggests memorials be made to (LARA) Louisburg Athletic Recreation Association, in care of Wilson and Son Funeral Home, 120 Broadway Street, Louisburg, KS 66053, who was in charge of arrangements."
