Easley 1939-2006 Memorial services for Kenneth D. Easley, 67, Welda, were Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Colony Community Church, Colony, KS, with Pastor Steve Bubna officiating. Mr. Easley entered into eternal life on July 14, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Kenneth D. Easley was born January 31, 1939, at Stuart, IA, the son of Mason and Mable (Steepleton) Easley. He served in the National Guard from 1956 until 1959. On August 22, 1958, Kenneth married Dixie A. Womelsdorf at Fort Scott. He worked for Cities Service at the Welda compressor station for 27 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and fixing anything. He had a good sense of humor and was a pratical joker. Kenneth loved to race cars and was a country swing dancer. He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face. Mr. Easley is survived by his sons, Dale L. Easley of Colony and Kendrick J. Easley of Spokane Valley, WA; his daughter, Sheila R. Defina of Eagle, CO; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Lloyd Houk. Musical selections included 'Angel Band', 'Amazing Grace', 'In The Garden', and 'I'll Fly Away'.
