Lloyd Houk officiating. Interment was in Ellsmore Cemetery, Elsmore, KS. Mrs. Brooks died Saturday, January 21, at Moran Manor. Gladys Mae Brooks was born October 19, 1918, west of Elsmore, the daughter of Harvey Harrison and Emma Edelina (Olson) Ludlum. She married Ardell Brooks on December 21, 1938, at Oswego. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Emma Ludlum; her brothers, Arthur Ludlum and Lawrence Ludlum; her sister, Lucille Brown; and an infant sister. Gladys is survived by her brothers, Wilburn Ludlum of Moran and Harrison Ludlum of Chanute; and her sisters, Edith Bolinger of Wichita and Evelyn Richards of Chanute. Musical selections included 'Old Rugged Cross' sung by Rev. Houk. Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Moran, was in charge of arrangements." "Eunice M. Brockus 1925-2006 Funeral services for Eunice M. Brockus, 80, Rantoul, were Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery. Mrs. Brockus died Saturday, January 21, at Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital, Gardner. Eunice M. Brockus was born July 9, 1925, at Rantoul, the daughter of James and Hildred (McKinley) Finch. She was a lifelong Rantoul area resident. Eunice was a homemaker. She enjoyed growing flowers, embroidery, and cooking. Her greatest enjoyment, however, was her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eunice and Clifford W. Brockus were married April 27, 1942, at Ottawa. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1993. Mrs. Brockus was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald W. Brockus; her daughter, Delores Jean Evans; her parents, James and Hildred Finch; and her sister, Velma Schulz. Eunice is survived by her daughter, Nancy Collins of Lane; her son, Richard D. Brockus of Richmond; her sister, Rosie Henry of Ottawa; six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association. Page 5, Column 2: "Mae Borror 1908-2006 Memorial services for Mae Borror, 98, Garnett, were Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel. Inurnment was in Welda Cemetery. Miss Borror died Friday, January 20, at Golden Heights Living Center, Garnett. Mae Borror was born January 5, 1908, at Garnett, the daughter of Edom Finley and Sarah Jane (Green) Borror. She graduated from Garnett High School with the Class of 1926. Mae worked at the Peoples Theatre and the Double H Ranch in Garnett from 1933 to 1973, and worked as a bank teller at Garnett State Savings Bank from 1956 to 1984, retiring at the age of 76. She enjoyed photography, playing her organ, and traveling. She visited every state except Florida and Alaska. Ms. Borror was preceded in death by her parents, Edom and Sarah Borror; and her sisters, Grace Bell Stillwell and Gladys Perkins. Mae is survived by her niece, Mary Swanson; and her nephews, Jim Perkins and Earl Stillwell. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Anderson County Historical Society or the Garnett Senior Center. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." "John Christopher Giager 1979-2006 Funeral services for John Christopher Giager, 26, Richmond, were Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Interment was in Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul. Mr. Giager died Friday, January 20, at his home. John Christopher Giager was born June 1, 1979, at Overland Park, the son of Johnny and Renee (Roecker) Giager. He grew up in Osawatomie and rural Paola. In 1992, he moved to Richmond. John attended Central Heights High school with the Class of 1997. Mr. Giager was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wendell Giager and Bill Chambers. John is survived by his mother, Renee Giager of Richmond; his father, Johnny Giager of LaCygne; his sister, Jennifer Giager of Memphis, TN; his grandparents, Sondra and Lyle Brown of Richmond, Wesley and Bev Roecker of Chanute, and Charlotte Giager of Osawatomie; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family suggests memorials to John C. Giager Memorial Fund in care of Dengel and Son Mortuary, 235 South Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 3: "Forestine Fay Morrow 1916-2006 Funeral services for Forestine Fay Morrow, 89, Iola, were Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Chapel in Iola with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Morrow died Saturday, January 21, at Allen County Hospital, Iola. Forestine Fay Morrow was born September 18, 1916, at Mapleton, KS, the daughter of John and Stella (Findley) Powell. Her mother died when she was four years old and she grew up in the Mapleton area under the care of her older sisters. In 1931, she married Orval Shaw and they farmed in the Kincaid area. They divorced and she moved to Iola. For years she owned and operated Forestine's Sandwich Inn, which was known for its hamburgers and homemade pies. Forestine enjoyed playing bingo and cards. On October 2, 1963, she married Allison Farling. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1977. On September 18, 1983, Forestine married Leon Morrow. He survives. Mrs. Morrow is also survived by her daughter, LaJune Bodenahamer and her husband Glen of Garnett; her stepson, Howard Morrow and his wife Glenna of Overland Park; her stepdaughters, Sheila Wintrode and her husband Dick of Grove, OK, and Judy Truelove and her husband Bob of Burlington; her brother, John Powell, Jr. and his wife Judy of Cottonwood, AZ; her grandson, Randy Bodenhamer and his wife Nancy of Burlington; five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
