Interment was in Greeley City Cemetery. Mrs. Spencer died Tuesday, October 17, at Olathe Medical Center surrounded by her family. Eva Lucille Spencer was born October 10, 1919, at Centerville, the daughter of Thomas and Mable (Holloman) McCarty. Eva and Merle Wayne Spencer were married June 15, 1946, at Centerville. This union was blessed with two children, Sharon Ann and Gary Wayne. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1986. She was a member of the Greeley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Spencer was also preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mable McCarty; her grandson, Craig Spencer; three brothers and three sisters. Eva is survived by her son, Gary Wayne Spencer of Greeley, her daughter, Sharon Ann Spencer of Lenexa; her sisters, Betty Bilderback of Garnett and Nadine Boydston of LaCygne; her grandchildren, Amy Spencer and her fianc‚ Rob Malone of Raymore, MO, Michael Spencer and his wife Christine of Mound City, and Sean Spencer and his wife Robin of Osawatomie; and her great-grandchildren, Paege and Austin Malone; Tyler, Rylee, and Bryton Spencer; Ryan and Molly Spencer, Mackenzie and Samantha Castleberry; and Brycen Mersman. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist. Musical selections included 'The Rose', 'You Raise Me Up', and 'In The Garden'. Casketbearers were Pat Rockers, Doug Rockers, Chris Katzer, Tom Wittry, Carl Wittry, and David Bilderback. Honorary casketbearers were LeRoy Kratzberg, Richard Rommelfanger, Charlie Singer, and Larry Rommelfanger. The family suggests memorials be made to Greeley United Methodist Church.
