Huggins 1914-2006 Funeral services for Ruth B. Huggins, 92, Kincaid, were Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Garnett, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Welda Cemetery, Welda, KS. Mrs. Huggins died Friday, November 3, at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care. Ruth B. Huggins was born January 25, 1914, at Neodesha, the daughter of Charley Thomas and Nellie Amanda (Martin) Cass. Ruth and Jesse Fremont Thompson were married April 10, 1933, at Iola. They became the parents of two daughters, Norma Delight and Virginia Belle. They were later divorced and he passed away on March 22, 1992. She and Stockard Jackson Lee were married in November of 1952 at Denver, CO. They moved to Catoosa, OK, and opened a grocery store. They later moved to Lane on a farm, and he was later killed on a tractor on August 24, 1960. On September 23, 1964, Ruth and Glenn M. Huggins were married in Miami, OK. They lived at Lane on her farm for many years, than moved to south of Bush City on the Huggins' farm. They farmed and had dairy cows for many years. He passed away on July 7, 1996. Mrs. Huggins was also preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Nellie Cass; her daughter, Virginia 'Ginny' Miller; her grandsons, Randy Miller, Gerry Miller, and Ricky Bloom; her brother, Earl Cass; her sisters, Mae Croan Cook and Dorothy Van; and her nephew, Charley Earl Cass. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Norma Delight Tilton of Kincaid; her son-in-law, Gerald Miller of Garnett; her grandchildren, Cindy Lowe and husband Kenny, Danny Tilton and wife Patricia, and Gene Hunsaker; and her 11 great-grandchildren, Dusty Renee McClain, Randi Miller, Diana Hunsaker, Jesse Tilton, Thomas Tilton, Jimmy Ray Tilton, Travis Lowe, Cody Lowe, Colton Lowe, Chance Lowe, and Chad Hunsaker; her ex-granddaughter-in-law, Renee McClain; her sister-in-law, Dixie Lindsay; her nephews, Forrest Cass and wife Vicky, and George Croan and wife Irene; her nieces, Nelane Croan Stussie and husband Gary, Beverly Croan King, and Faye Cass Prater and husband Jim; her cousin, Howard Stiffler; great-nieces and nephews; her friend and hairdresser, Judy Blubaugh; and friends and staff at Anderson County Long Term Care, who loved and cared for her for the last few years. Musical selections included 'One Day At A Time', 'You Light Up My Life', 'On The Wings Of A Dove', and 'Just Beyond The Moon'. Casketbearers were Travis Lowe, Cody Lowe, Colton Lowe, Chance Lowe, Jesse Tilton, Thomas Tilton, and Dustie McClain. The family suggests memorials be made to Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care Facility. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements."
