Edgecomb, 82, Garnett, are Saturday, August 24, 2002, at Old German Baptist Church, Westphalia, KS, with Brethren Weldon Hirt, Glenn Bauman, Roger Filbrun, and Kenneth Landes officiating. Interment is in Bethel Cemetery, Westphalia. Mr. Edgecomb died Wednesday, August 21, 2002, at Golden Heights Living Center. Visitation for Mr. Edgecomb is scheduled for Friday, August 23, 2002, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.” “Earl R. Elliott 1917-2002 Funeral services for Earl R. Elliott, Wichita, KS, formerly of Welda, KS, were Thursday, August 22, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at Welda United Methodist Church with Rev. David Molz officiating. Interment was in Welda Cemetery. Mr. Elliott died Monday, August 19, 2002, at Lake Point Nursing Center, Rose Hill, KS. Earl R. Elliott was born March 14, 1917, near Garnett, the son of Guy C. and Fern B. (Collins) Elliott. He had lived in Wichita since the early 1940’s. He retired from Cessna on March 14, 1982, as a machinist/tool and die maker. Earl served with the United States Air Force in the European Theatre during World War II. He was a member of the Arthritis Water Exercise Club of Wichita. Earl and Liva Furgason were married September 21, 1942, at Colony, KS. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by an infant son, Leonard Lee Elliott; and his parents, Guy and Fern Elliott. Earl is survived by his wife, Liva Alice Elliott, Wichita, KS; his daughter, Linda Molz and her husband, David, Olathe, KS; his brother, Glenn Elliott, Lawrence, KS; his sisters, Helen Neumann, Hesston, KS, and Mary Cross, Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family greeted friends at the Welda Community Building after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1602 East Waterman, Wichita, KS 67211, or the American Heart Association.
