Ban Saathoff officiating. Mrs. Bond died Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline, MO. Annie Elizabeth Bond was born December 11, 1918, at Pueblo, CO, the daughter of Leonard and Annie (Jones) Provorse. She was a graduate of Pittsburg State Teachers College, now Pittsburg State University, a Home Economics teacher. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Christian Church, both at Tonganoxie, KS. Annie was a Marceline resident for the past three years. Annie and Edward U. Bond were married June 19, 1944. Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her husband, Edward U. Bone in 1992; parents, Leonard and Annie Provorse; five brothers and one sister. Annie is survived by her sons, Rich Bond, Marceline, MO, James Bond, Garnett, and Ed Bond, Dunlap, IL; her sister, Mary Wartick, Wichita, KS; and her grandchildren, Carissa and Brian Bond, Dunlap, IL, and Nolle and Kari Bond, Marceline, MO. The family received friends on Thursday, September 5, 2002, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Delaney Funeral Home. Mrs. Martz died Friday, September 6, 2002, at Anderson County Hospital, Garnett. Virginia A. Martz was born December 5, 1925, at Scipio, KS, the daughter of John M. and Hattie (Burlingham) Falls. She lived in Greeley most of her life and graduated from Lane High School. She was a Data Processor for Osawatomie State Hospital for nineteen years. Virginia was a member of Greeley United Methodist Church and was a poetry contributor to Potpourri. Virginia and Leslie ‘Jack’ Martz were married at Garnett, KS. Mrs. Martz was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Martz, on June 10, 2001; one daughter, Susan Jane Martz, on June 8, 1953; her parents, John M. and Hattie Falls; one brother, Donald Falls; and one sister, Frances Cunningham. Virginia is survived by one son, Daniel John Martz, Okarche, OK; two daughters, Carol Elaine Nearhood, Greeley, KS, and Lori Ann Scissors, St. Louis, MO; one brother, Charles L. Falls, Ottawa, KS; and four grandchildren, Christopher Nearhood, Mary Nearhood, Benjamin Scissors, and Jacob Scissors. Music was provided by Jon Covault. Musical selections included “In the Garden”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, “Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross”, and “Going Home”. Casketbearers were Bernard Hesse, Greg Katzer, Mark Katzer, Clyde Katzer, Leon Katzer, and Richard Rommelfanger. Honorary casketbearers were Jerry Fagg and Same Lile. Mrs. Wahl died Thursday, September 5, 2002, at Ottawa. Susan M. Wahl was born October 28, 1958, at Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Victor T. and Betty M. (Smith) Coyne. She graduated from Oklahoma City High School with the class of 1976. She has lived in Richmond, KS, for the past year, moving there from Ottawa, where she had lived since June, 1993. Prior to living in Ottawa, she had lived in Anthony, KS. She was a livelong homemaker. Susan was a member of Living Way Apostolic Church in Ottawa. Susan and Robert L. Wahl were married October 11, 1980, at Enid, OK. Mrs. Wahl was preceded in death by her parents, Victor T. Coyne and Betty M. Smith. Susan is survived by her husband, Robert Wahl, Richmond, KS; her daughter, Tracy Long, Ottawa, KS; her son, Matthew Wahl, Westlake, LA; her brother, Tom Coyne, Licking, MO; her mother-in-law, Sara Wahl, Enid, OK; and her grandchildren, Caylee Morgan Long and Londyn Kade Wahl. Mrs. Croan died Thursday, September 5, 2002, at Harrah Nursing Center in Oklahoma. Ethel ‘Muriel’ Croan was born November 16, 1913, at Anderson, MO, the daughter of Joseph Truelove and Charlotte E. (Brooks) Scobee. She had lived in McLoud, OK, for nineteen years. Ethel was married to Levi K. Beaty and Milton Croan. Mrs. Croan is survived by her son, Dale L.
