Vinson 1934-2002 Funeral services for Wilma A. Vinson, 67, Garnett, were Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn memorial Chapel, Garnett. Mrs. Vinson died Monday, September 16, 2002, at Anderson County Hospital, Garnett. Wilma A. Vinson was born November 26, 1934, at Washington, D.C., the daughter of Byreley and Irene (Eaton) Vinson. She was a CNA. Wilma and Arthur B. White were married in 1953 in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Vinson was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. White; a son, Kelly E. White, on January 19, 1985; and her parents, Byreley and Irene Vinson. Wilma is survived by her son, Arthur B. White, Jr., Zephyrhills, FL; her daughters, Janet Thacker, Garnett, and Beverly Unkle, Stafford, VA; her stepfather, Charles W. Davis, Tappahannock, VA; three brothers, Charles, Kenny, and Larry; three sisters, Shirley, Sandy, and Brenda; her grandchildren, Angela, Willy, Eric, Sarah, Katie, and Kimmy; and her great-grandchild, Zoie. The family received friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Faye Phillips 1905-2002 Faye Phillips, 96, died September 15, 2002, at Mayers Memorial Hospital in Fall River Mills, CA. Born November 23, 1905, in West Olpe, Lyon County, KS, Faye was the daughter of James Grant Rumford and Mary Jane Mackey-Rumford. She was a homemaker and was a native and lifetime resident of Kansas. She went to Burney, CA, in January, 2002, to live and be with her family. She was married to Cleatis C. Drenon on October 19, 1924, at Emporia, KS. They had three children: Billie Gene Drenon, who died in infancy; Wayne C. Drenon of Redding, CA, who died July 22, 1994; and C. Darlene Drenon-McMulle of Burney, CA, who died May 8, 1999. In 1946, Faye married Riley W. ‘Nick’ Kitterman. In 1969, she married Roy Phillips. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her three children and her three husbands. Faye is survived by her son-in-law, F.R. ‘Mac’ McMullen, Burley, CA; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; her 99-year-old sister, Eva Robinson of Emporia, KS; and also many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, KS, and they will conduct her Liturgy of Christian Burial. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McDonald’s Chapel in Burney, CA. Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2002, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for relatives and friends. Her remains were then flown to Kansas, where Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Garnett, will handle her Memorial Service on Friday, September 20, 2002, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and interment to follow. She will be buried in Pleasant View Cemetery near Agricola, KS, near her son and next to her second husband in the Kitterman plot.
