Mrs. Milroy was cremated and will be interred at a later date. Marilyn Ruth Milroy was born August 7, 1926, at Harris, KS, the daughter of Warren Millard and Hazel Ruth (Rudisill) Whiteford. She attended schools in Harris and graduated from Garnett High School in 1944. Marilyn and Scott M. Milroy were married December 26, 1946. She worked for various companies in accounts receivable for many years, retiring in 1995 from Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. Scott and Marilyn moved to Krum, TX, in 1983, to build their retirement home. Mrs. Milroy was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Millard and Hazel Ruth Whiteford; and a sister, Martha Lee Cherry. Marilyn is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Scott Milroy; two daughters, Penne Ruth Duke, Longview, TX, and Danni Lou Hickman, Lubin, WI, and their spouses; her sister, Janet L. Hermreck, Garnett, KS; eleven grandchildren, three nieces, three nephews, and twelve great-nephews and nieces.” “Ronald L. Noyes 1940-2002 Funeral services for Ronald L. Noyes, 62, LaHarpe, KS, were Monday, October 21, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Memorial Chapel, Iola, KS, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Waverly Cemetery. Mr. Noyes died Friday, October 18, 2002, at Allen County, Hospital, Iola. Ronald L. Noyes was born September 30, 1940, at Bethany, MO, the son of Alfred A. and Anna S. (Watts) Noyes. He grew up in the Ottawa and Centropolis areas. Ronald and Martha J. Ball were married January 10, 1959. They lived in Kansas City, Garnett, and Ottawa before moving to LaHarpe one year ago. He served in the Kansas National Guard for several years. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for sixteen years before becoming disabled and was forced to retire in 1990. Ronald enjoyed camping and fishing. Mr. Noyes is survived by his wife, Martha J. Noyes, LaHarpe, KS; two sons, Don Noyes, Welda, KS, and Rick Noyes, Iola, KS, and three grandchildren. Interment was in Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Mr. Pancake died October 16, 2002, in Lake Havasu City. Claron Francis Pancake was born May 16, 1916, at Garnett, KS, the son of Calvin L. and Inez S. (Hesp) Pancake. He moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ, twenty-three years ago from York, NE. Claron was a jewelry/watchmaker for Pancake Jewelry in York for thirty-four years. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Freida Pancake, Lake Havasu City; his son, Larry C. Pancake, Lake Havasu City; his daughter, Shari Stahr, Boonville, MO; and his grandchildren, twins Jeremy and Emily Pancake, Lake Havasu City. Dr. Ewbank died Sunday, October 13, 2002, at Washington Regional Medical Center. John David Ewbank was born on December 23, 1947, at the Carter Hospital in Garnett, KS, the son of Oliver and Leone Ewbank. He graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS, where he was first violinist in the Topeka Symphony Orchestra. He shared his love of music by giving music lessons to underprivileged children there. He received his doctorate in chemistry in 1974 from the University of Arkansas and joined the department’s research staff. He taught chemistry for twenty-three years at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. He and two colleagues received international attention for their unique electron diffraction instrument. It was the first solid state real-time data collection system in their field, and ‘Industrial Research and Development Magazine’ named it one of the 100 most important technological advances in 1985. Dr. Ewbank was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Leone Ewbank; and his sister, Lorene Roeckers, in 1997, and an infant sister, Lorna Carol Ewbank, in 1941. John is survived by a son, John Freeman Ewbank, of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Erin Ewbank, Fayetteville, AR; former wife, Marilyn McClelland, Fayetteville, AR; sisters Margery Hunt, Garnett, and Mary Seward, Bellingham, WA; brothers, Bruce Ewbank, Moorehead City, NC, Jim Ewbank, Atchison, KS, and Russell Ewbank, Topeka, KS; and many nieces and nephews. Philip Bucher officiating. Mr. Feuerborn died Thursday, October 17, 2002, at 9:35 p.m. at Point Lookout Christian Care Center in Hollister, MO. Raymond Henry Feuerborn was born January 20, 1936, at Ottawa, IL, the son of Ralph and Marie (Trompeter) Feuerborn. He was a retired truck driver and had been a mechanic for Silver Dollar City for ten years. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Feuerborn was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Feuerborn; one son, Ralph Feuerborn; one sister, Jeanette; and one grandson, Matt Feuerborn. Raymond is survived by his wife, Barbara Mae (Guy) Feuerborn, Branson, MO; five children, Mary Kelly, Rockaway Beach, MO, Leo Feuerborn, Springfield, MO, Bonnie Feuerborn, Robert Feuerborn, and Mildred Feuerborn, all of Branson, MO; his mother, Marie Feuerborn, Ottawa, KS; two sisters, Faye Rubick, Ottawa, KS, and Jean Stover, Williamsburg, KS; and eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
