Oestreicher 1915-2002 Margarette H. Oestreicher, 87, Princeton, KS, died Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Olathe Medical Center. Mrs. Oestreicher was cremated and no services are planned. Margarette H. Oestreicher was born November 15, 1915, at Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Henry and Annie (Clinkenbeard) Haberkorn. She was a high school graduate. She had lived in Princeton since the mid-1960’s, moving there from Olathe. Margarette was a lifelong homemaker. In the 1950’s, she worked as a seamstress at H.D. Lee in Ottawa and helped with her husband’s dairy farm in the 1950’s and 1960’s. In 1950, Margarette was united in marriage with James Grover ‘Ace’ Oestreicher in Oklahoma. Mrs. Oestreicher was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Haberkorn; two brothers, Ed Haberkorn and Floyd Haberkorn; and three sisters, Dorothy Long, Freda Shepherd, and Catherine L. Oestreicher. Margarette is survived by her husband, James Grover Oestreicher, of the home; her son, William White, Gardner, KS; her stepson, James Oestreicher, Princeton, KS; her stepdaughter, Sandra Austin, Belton, MO; her sister, Wilda Manness, Illinois; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. The family met friends on Saturday, December 14, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Princeton Methodist Church, which may be left in care of the funeral home. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.” “Doris M. Shellhorn 1941-2002 Memorial services for Doris M. Shellhorn 61, Westphalia, KS, were Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Garnett, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mrs. Shellhorn died December 13, 2002, at her residence. Doris M. Shellhorn was born March 17, 1941, at Fall City, NE, the daughter of Harry and Elta Mae (Snyder) Strough. She had lived in the Westphalia area for the past fifteen years. Doris was a doll maker and was owner/operator of Country Gal Doll Shop in Garnett. Doris and Richard Shellhorn were married May 25, 1990, at Dodge City, KS. Mrs. Shellhorn is survived by her husband, Richard Shellhorn, Westphalia; her son, Bob Sortore, Kansas City, KS; her daughter, Sharon Marie Sortore, Kansas City, MO; her brothers, Ronnie Strough, Kansas City, KS, and Kenneth Strough, Jonesboro, IL; her sisters, Vivian Ryburn, Kansas City, KS, Joyce McDaniel, Bonner Springs, KS, and Barbara Strough, Kansas City, KS; and three grandchildren.
