Interment was in Chelsea, IA. Mrs. Kriva died January 29, 2003, at Sunny Hill Care Center, Tama, IA. Carrie Hilligas Kriva was born August 29, 1905, the daughter of Herman and Alice Loschen. Carrie Loschen and John F. Hilligas were united in marriage on October 22, 1922. They became the parents of ten children. Among surviving children is her son, Merle E. Hilligas, Garnett. The death of John Hilligas occurred on February 22, 1965. Carrie later married Joseph Kriva, whom she also survived by several years. John and Carrie Hilligas were frequent visitors to Anderson County until his death in 1965. Until approximately the past three months, Carrie had lived in her own home, able to care for herself. She continued to enjoy her handcraft projects, even after moving to the care center. At the time she moved to Sunny Hill Care Center, a feature story was published in a local newspaper, showing pictures of several of her elaborately crocheted items. Among those many items Carrie lovingly crocheted were eighteen 3-foot x 5-foot 'Lord's Prayer' wall hangings. Each of her children had received one of them as a gift from their mother. Additionally, Carrie spent from 1956 to 1965 crocheting bedspreads for each of her children. Mrs. Kriva's family included 232 children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren." "Rita K. Angold 1924-2003 Mass of Christian Burial for Rita K. Angold, 78, Kansas City, MO, was February 1, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ The King Church, Kansas City, MO, with Father John Weiss officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick Cemetery, Emerald, KS. Mrs. Angold died January 30, 2003, at Indian Meadows Care Center, Overland Park, KS. Rita K. Angold was born July 5, 1924, at Amiot, KS, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Minnehan) Mulcahey. She grew up in Anderson County, KS, and graduated from Garnett High School with the Class of 1942. She moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1944. She worked for B.M.A. Insurance, Price Candy Company, and after her children were raised, she worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Rita was a member of Christ The King Church and the Altar Society. Rita and Thomas J. Angold were married on July 15, 1950, at Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Angold was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rose Mulcahey; two brothers and three sisters. Rita is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Angold, Kansas City, MO; her son, Jeff Angold and his wife, Leah, Kansas City, MO; her daughters, Carol Jo Andreason and her husband, Bill, Kansas City, Mo, and Gail Ohly and her husband, Paul, Rochester, MN; her brother, Jim Mulcahey, Garnett; her sister, Lucille Hallemann, Southfield, MI; and ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." "Catherine N. Stover 1932-2003 Catherine N. Stover, 70, Anaheim, CA, died January 30, 2003, at a nursing home in Ontario, CA. Catherine N. Stover was born July 8, 1932, at Humboldt, KS, the daughter of Charles T. and Mabel (Switzer) Manly. Mrs. Stover was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Charles and Mabel Manly of Chanute, KS; and one infant sister. Catherine is survived by her two daughters, Melinda, Leonardtown, MD, and Elizabeth, Costa Mesa, CA; her son, John, Ontario, CA; and her four sisters, Doris Null, Garnett, Margaret Burdge, Knoxville, TN, Viola Frame, Saugus, CA, and Charline Bridges, Chanute, KS. She suffered from cancer for several months. Catherine will be missed by family and friends. Mrs. Stover was cremated. No service was held." Page 3, Column 3: "Thomas H. Morgan 1953-2003 Funeral services for Thomas H. Morgan, 50, Olathe, KS, formerly of Greeley, KS, were Tuesday, February 4, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, KS, with Pastor Rob Winter officiating. Interment was held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at St. John's Cemetery, Greeley, KS, with Father Tony Blaufuss officiating. Mr. Morgan died January 30, 2003, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Thomas H. Morgan was born January 7, 1953, at Garnett, KS, the son of Henry J. and Mary E. (Young) Morgan. He was a 1967 graduate of St. John's Grade School in Greeley and a 1971 graduate of Garnett High School. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 and a Master of Science degree in 1977. He grew up in the Greeley area of Anderson County, where he was active in 4-H and FFA with his involvement in H&H Angus Farms. Mr. Morgan lived in the Chicago area from 1981 to 1993 and worked for Heinold Commodities, Inc., then began the Sterling Research Group. After returning to Kansas in 1993, Tom founded Morgan Consulting Group in which he worked with his sons. He contributed to the radio program KFRM and was interviewed monthly by Kelly Lenz of WIBW radio. He was a sought-after speaker and writer for many agriculture groups, through which he was interviewed by CNN, 'The Wall Street Journal', and various agriculture publications. Tom was a member of The Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS. He formerly attended the Indian Creek Community Church and the Olathe Bible Church. He was a member of Alpha Zeta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho and KC AGR Alumni Chapter. He served as Statistics Chairman of the National Hay Association. Tom received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Agriculture Economics Department of Kansas State University. Mr. Morgan is survived by his sons, John Morgan and James Morgan, both of Olathe, KS; his parents, Henry and Mary Morgan, Greeley, KS; his brothers, Tim Morgan, Richmond, KS, Jim Morgan and his wife, Becky, Louisburg, KS, and Dan Morgan and his wife, Amber, Greeley, KS; and his sisters Peg Hiles and her husband, Bill, Neodesha, KS, Sue Short and her husband, Dave, Midlothian, TX, Ann Beck and her husband, Eric, Tenafly, NJ, and Jan Owen and her husband, Jeff, San Antonio, TX. Music was provided by Barbara Eichenburger, organist, and Ryan Hunt, soloist. Musical selections included 'Friends Are Friends Forever' by Michael W. Smith and 'Amazing Grace'. Casketbearers were Tim Morgan, Jim Morgan, Dan Morgan, John Cubit, Pat Egidy, Terry Egidy, and George Miller. The family received friends on Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service and at St. John's Hall in Greeley after the burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas H.
