Orton 1944-2003 Graveside services and interment for Mary K. Orton, 58, Columbus, NE, were Thursday, February 13, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Goodrich Cemetery, Goodrich, KS, with Rev. Jack Heckart officiating. Mrs. Orton died Monday, February 10, at Morys Haven, Columbus, NE. Mary K. Orton was born August 21, 1944, at Garnett, KS, the daughter of Eldon Charles and Birdie B. (Pitts) Mann. She graduated from Parker High School in 1962, and married John Orton that same year. They were later divorced. She attended Fort Scott Community College, than completed her Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, KS. In addition to raising her family, she has worked at various restaurants as a cook and waitress. In August 2002, Mary moved to Columbus, NE. Mrs. Orton was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher A. Turner; and her parents, Eldon Charles and Birdie B. Mann. Mary is survived by her sons, William Orton, Oklahoma, and Julius 'Lee' Orton, Hutchinson, KS; her daughters, Theresa Turner, Duncan, NE, Tamra Shields, Quenemo, KS, and Victoria Cochrane, Edgerton, KS; her brothers, Charles Mann, Richards, MO, and Michael Mann, Humboldt, KS; her sister, Jean Heckart, Sioux City, IA; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials to the Mary K. Orton Memorial Fund, which may be left in care of the funeral home. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." "Louise Kreusch 1929-2003 Graveside services and interment for Louise Kreusch, 73, Ottawa, KS, were Thursday, February 13, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, with Pastor Kenneth Maldonado officiating. Mrs. Kreusch died Sunday, February 9, at her home. Louise Kreusch was born July 8, 1929, at Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Clifford and Viola (McCollum) Lyman. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa and attended Ottawa High School with the Class of 1947. Louise was a lifelong homemaker. In the late 1940's, she worked at Willis Nursery, and in the 1960's, was a nurse's aide at Cedar House, both in Ottawa. She was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Ottawa, and was a former member of Ottawa Promenaders Square Dance Club. Louise and John 'Jack' Kreusch were married January 19, 1957. Mrs. Kreusch was preceded in death by her son, John Richardson; her parents, Clifford and Viola Lyman; two brothers, Ray Lyman and Corwin Lyman; and an infant sister, Ila Vivian Lyman. Louise is survived by her husband, Jack Kreusch, Ottawa, KS; her sons, Pete Martin, Kansas City, KS, and Roger Kreusch, Rantoul, KS; her daughters, Carolyn Cramer, Pomona, KS, Pearl Martin, Blue Springs, MO, and Jean Thompson, Ottawa; her sister, Norma Jean Denniston, New Castle, CA; her sister-in-law, Sharon Lyman, Ottawa; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family received friends on Wednesday, February 12, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Midland Hospice.
