Bowman, 85, Wichita, KS, formerly of Garnett, was Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church, Wichita. Graveside services and interment were held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Cemetery, Garnett. Mrs. Bowman died Sunday, March 2. Agnes M. Bowman was born July 8, 1917, at Greeley, KS, the daughter of Henry and Teresa Egidy. Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph J. Brummel and Martin F. Bowman; and her parents, Henry and Teresa Egidy. Agnes is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Patricia Brummel, Parkville, MO, Ron Brummel, Wichita, Norman and Gail Bowman, Wichita, and Robert Bowman, Wichita; her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Goebel, Wichita, Arlene and Robert Smith, Wichita, and Irene Bretches, Wichita; her brother, Matthew Egidy, Paola, KS; his sisters, Josephine Katzer, Greeley, KS, and Margaret Kipper, Overland Park, KS; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Rosary was said Wednesday, March 5, at 6:00 p.m. at Downing and Lahey Mortuary West Chapel. Memorials have been established with Catholic Diocese of Wichita Priest Retirement Fund, 424 North Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202, and Christ the King Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 4411 Maple, Wichita, KS 67209. Downing and Lahey Mortuary, Wichita, was in charge of arrangements." Page 3, Column 3: "Charles Franklin Ford 1927-2003 Memorial services for Charles Franklin Ford, 75, Garnett, were Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Gale E. Mack officiating. Inurnment was in Garnett Cemetery. Mr. Ford died Friday, February 28, at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, KS. Charles Franklin Ford was born March 1, 1927, at Cameron, MO, the youngest of nine children born to Franklin and Margarete (McGill) Ford. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and graduated from Cameron, MO, High School in 1945. He served in the United States Army from 1946-1947. After returning from the service, he wired many farm homes in northwest Missouri to receive their first electricity. The remainder of his working life was spent with Ben Franklin Stores. Charles was a past president of P.T.A. and Kiwanis. He sang in church choirs for sixty years. He retired in 1988 in Springdale, AR, where he and his wife were active hospital volunteers and co-presidents of the Northwest Medical Center's Hospital auxiliary from 1993-1994. Charles and Emily moved to Garnett in 2001 to be near their daughter. He is a member of Garnett United Methodist Church. Charles and Emily Bowman were married October 8, 1946, at Wellsville, KS. Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Emily, of the home; his sons, Ron Ford, Batavia, IL, and Neil Ford and his wife, Joan, Tyler, TX; his daughter, Cathy Sutton and her husband, Phil, Ottawa, KS; his grandchildren, Hadley Ford, Batavia, IL, David Ford, Tyler, TX, and Kelsey Sutton and Ian Sutton, Ottawa, KS; his brother, Edwin Ford, Tulsa, OK, his sister, Anna Laura Buck, Cameron, MO, and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Garnett First United Methodist Church, or a charity of the donor's choice. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements."
