Fritz 1941-2003 Funeral services for Frank L. Fritz, 62, Garnett, were Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mr. Fritz died Thursday, March 6, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Frank L. Fritz was born January 24, 1941, at Kansas City, KS, the son of Joseph Fritz, Sr. and Lucille (Preston) Fritz Gerber. He grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Turner High School with the Class of 1959. Frank moved to Garnett in 1971, then moved to Weston, MO, where he lived from 1981 to 1984, moving then to Dallas, TX, where he lived from 1984-1994, then back to Garnett where he has lived since. He was fleet manager for Trans Am Trucking, Olathe, KS. Frank and Sharon Elliott were married July 9, 1960, at Miami, OK. Mr. Fritz was preceded in death by his son, Kary Fritz on March 18, 1997; and his parents, Joseph Fritz, SR. and Lucille Gerber Fritz. Frank is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; his sons, Wesley Fritz and his wife, Christine, Garnett, and Scott Fritz, Kansas City, MO; his brothers, Joseph Fritz, Jr., Burlington, KS, and Robert Fritz, Kansas City, KS; his step-brothers, Bud Gerber, Olivet, KS, and Herman Gerber, Kansas City, KS; his step-sisters, Frances May Mollett, Kansas City, KS, and Linda Snavely, Basehor, KS; and four grandchildren. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist, and Bill Craig, soloist. Musical selections included 'Peace In The Valley', and 'Take My Hand, Precious Lord'. The family received friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the service. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." "John Howard Lineback 1920-2003 Funeral services for John Howard Lineback, 82, Kansas City, MO, were Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO. Interment was at 2:00 p.m. at Colony Cemetery, Colony, KS. Mr. Lineback died Friday, February 28, at St. Luke's Hospital of the Northland. John Howard Lineback was born October 29, 1920, at Colony, KS, the son of Charles E. and Edna Pearl (Scott) Lineback. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. He was a builder and electrician. Howard was a member of the Walnut Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Parkville, MO. Howard and Jean Raddatz were married October 29, 1985. Mr. Lineback was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Edna Lineback; an infant brother; and a grandson, Scott Lineback. Howard is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; his sons, Doug J. Lineback and his wife, Judy, Hutchinson, KS, and Don R. Lineback and his wife, Beverly, Orlando. FL; his daughter, Debi J. Clausen and her husband, Dennis, Florissant, CO; his step-son, John E. Raddatz, Olathe, KS; his step-daughter, Joann Philbrick, Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Maxine Lickteig, Kremmling, CO; and his brother, Jerry Lineback, Scranton, KS. Page 3, Column 3: "Velma Joy Drybread 1927-2003 Funeral services for Velma Joy Drybread, 76, Garnett, were Monday, March 10, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Garnett Cemetery. Mrs. Drybread died Thursday, March 6, at her home. Velma Joy Drybread was born February 6, 1927, the daughter of Floyd Mitchell and Thelma Mae (Stanley) Bell. She was a lifetime resident of Garnett and graduated with the Class of 1945 from Garnett High School. Velma was Part Department Manager at GEM Farm Center from 1966 until she retired in September 1998. Previously, she also worked at Shinkle Grocery in 1944, Atherly Grocery in 1947, and Brecheisen Implement from 1947 to 1966. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and VFW Auxiliary, serving as secretary and historian. Velma and Edward Raymond Cunningham were married April 22, 1947. They later divorced. Velma and Lewis Dean Drybread were married May 11, 1971. Mrs. Drybread was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Dean Drybread on May 20, 1996; her parents, Floyd and Thelma Bell; and one step-grandchild, Brian Katzer. Velma is survived by her son, Steven Ray Cunningham and his wife, Laura, Princeton, KS; her daughter, Gwynn Leigh Cunningham McCurdy and her husband, Randy, Ottawa, KS; her step-daughter, Linda Lou Katzer and her husband, Virgil, Garnett; her brother, Stanley Carol Bell, Garnett; her sister, Bonnie Mae Kent, Garnett; her grandchildren, Chad McCurdy, Amanda McCurdy Pontius and her husband, Joseph, Clarissa Cunningham, Christina Cunningham, and Nathaniel Cunningham; her step- grandchildren, Ron Katzer, Kurt Katzer and his wife, Jamie, Farrah Katzer, and Valerie Katzer; her great-grandson, James Joseph Pontius; and her step-great-grandchildren, Brandon Katzer, Blaine Katzer, and Lakin Katzer. Music was provided by Amanda (McCurdy) and Joseph Pontius, Velma's granddaughter and her husband. Casketbearers were Nathaniel Cunningham, Roger Kent, Kurt Katzer, Ron Katzer, Chad McCurdy, and Joseph Pontius. Honorary casketbearers were Craig Cole, Kirk Gulick, Ray Peine, and Omer Rockers. The family received friends on Sunday, March 9, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Susan G.
