Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Garnett Cemetery, Garnett. Mrs. Collins died Monday, May 26, at her home in Wichita. Irene Uyvonne Collins was born July 29, 1913, in Anderson County, KS, the daughter of John Benjamin and Minnie Myrlte (Weddle) Rudisill. She was a member of Colony Eastern Star, the Colony Christian Church, and the Senior Citizens of Colony. Irene and Bowman Collins were married June 14, 1930, at Garnett. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Bowman Collins; her son, Clifford Wayne Collins; her daughter, Marie Carnahan; ten brothers and sisters; and her parents, John and Minnie Rudisill. Irene is survived by her daughters, Connie Beckley, Wichita, KS, and Dorothy Crawford, Hawthorne Woods, IL; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Kloma Buckle. Musical selections included ‘What A Friend We Have In Jesus’ and ‘Old Rugged Cross’. Casketbearers were Alan Ray Beckley, Brandon Beckley, Jason Beckley, Joe Beckley, Johnathon Beckley, and Michael Gray. Honorary casketbearers were Danny Beal, Jeff Beckley, Jordan Beckley, Craig Frymark, Keith Frymark, Casey Galloway, Andy Johnson, Chad Maugans, Charlie Maugans, Craig Maugans, and John Pressendo. The family received friends on Wednesday, May 28, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Colony. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Harriet Parks Oltmanns 1921-2003 Funeral services for Harriet Parks Oltmanns, 81, Middletown, IL, were Wednesday, May 28, 2003, at 9:45 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, IL, with Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating. Interment was at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Mrs. Oltmanns died Friday, May 23, at her home. Harriet Parks Oltmanns was born May 24, 1921, at Montevallo, MO, the daughter of Leroy and Maggie (Smith) Parks. Harriet and Roger W. Oltmanns were married in Warrington, England. She and her husband farmed. She was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, having served as a nurse with General Patton’s 57th Field Division. Harriet was the head nurse at Lincoln State School and Drake Cottage, a registered nurse at St. Clara’s Manor, and a private duty nurse in Logan County, IL. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL, Elkhart American Legion Auxiliary #616, Oasis, and Logan County Historical Society. She also volunteered as a nurse at the blood bank. Mrs. Oltmanns is survived by her husband, Roger W. Oltmanns; her sons, Roger William Oltmanns and his wife, Martha, South Bend, IN, and Jerry Oltmanns and his wife, Dawn, Sherman, Il; her daughter, Karol DeLaisne-Puglisi and her husband, Robert, New York; five grandchildren; her brother, Ray Parks and his wife, Ruby, Richmond, KS; her sisters, Bonnie Steward, Waverly, KS, Lottie Krause, Cleveland, OH, Vera Wills, Garnett, and Faye Little and her husband, Ike, Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces and nephews.
