Mrs. Rhea died Sunday, June 29, at her home. Patricia Smith Rhea was born June 28, 1953, at Quincy, IL, the daughter of Everett Smith, Sr. and Catherine (Nyberg) Torres. She had lived in Kansas City, KS, for most of her life, graduating from Argentine High School in 1971. She had been a resident of Kincaid for the past thirteen years. She was a homemaker. Patricia and Forrest Rhea were married August 5, 1989, at Kansas City, KS. Mrs. Rhea was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Torres; her son, Timothy Streker; and her grandson, Dustin Jeanquart. Patricia is survived by her husband, Forrest Rhea, Kincaid; her son, Forrest Thad Rhea and his wife, Natalie, Kansas City, MO; her daughters, Kandi Starr and her husband, Tim, Lone Elm, KS, Kim Jeanquart and her husband, John, Peel, AR; and Michelle Rhea-Starr and her husband, Will, Kincaid; her brothers, Bill Smith and his wife, Mary Jo, and Gary Smith and his wife, Debbie, both of Blue Springs, MO, Everett Smith and Eric Smith, both of Illinois; her sisters, Judith Orand and her husband, Charlie, Tonganoxie, KS, Debbie Starcher and her husband, Jim, Kansas City, MO, and Lisa Smith, Becky Smith, and Lorna Smith, all of Illinois; and her grandchildren, Christopher Rhea, Riley Rhea, William Streker, Andria Starr, Ciera Jeanquart, Jenna Jeanquart, Alyssa Jeanquart, Joey Jeanquart, Destiny Jeanquart, C.J. Cole, William Starr, Jr., Summer Starr, and Emillie Starr. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Lester E. Vohs 1922-2003 Funeral services for Lester E. Vohs, 80, rural Paola, KS, were Thursday, July 3, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson and Son Funeral Home, Paola. Interment was in Paola Cemetery. Mr. Vohs died Monday, June 30. Lester E. Vohs was born September 6, 1922, on the family farm southeast of Paola, KS, the son of George A. and Ethel A. (Wren) Vohs. While growing up, he attended Oak Grove District 18 Rural Grade School. Lester and Elnora Louise Morgan were married February 6, 1946, at Paola. Together they became the proud parents of two sons. They lived their entire married life within a mile of where Lester was born and raised. He farmed and raised Angus cattle until his death. Lester was a member of the Kansas Angus Association and the Cattle Association. He enjoyed attending the Middle Creek Opry, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Vohs was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora, on July 11, 1994; his parents, George A. and Ethel A. Vohs; and two brothers, Frank and George Vohs. Surviving to cherish Lester’s memory are his sons, Ronnie Vohs and his wife, Cathy, and Gary Vohs and his wife, Vicki, all of rural Paola, KS; his grandchildren, Brandon, Travis, Alex, Eric, Randy, and Lester Dale Vohs; his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jody, and Taylor Vohs; and a host of other family members and friends, all of whom will miss him deeply. The family received friends on Wednesday, July 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Bible Church, in care of the funeral home.
