Miller 1916-2003 Funeral Mass for Edward G. Miller, 86, Garnett, was Friday, August 8, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Garnett, with father George Matz and Father Alfred Rockers officiating. Interment was in Holy Angels Cemetery. Mr. Miller died Tuesday, August 5, at his home. Edward G. Miller was born December 8, 1916, at Lane, KS, the son of John and Elizabeth (Liell) Miller. He lived in the Greeley area until 1998, when he moved to Garnett. Mr. Miller was a farmer and stockman, a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1368 and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Edward and Christina Rockers were married September 19, 1939, at St. Boniface Church in Scipio, KS. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his son, Leroy Miller, on July 17, 1974; his parents, John and Elizabeth Miller; his brothers, Louis Miller and Arthur Miller; and his sister, Anetta Rockers. Edward is survived by his wife, Christina, of the home; his sons, Earl Miller and his wife, Martha, and Bill Miller and his wife, Janice, all of Garnett; his daughters, Edna Foltz and her husband, Ron, Richmond, KS, and Thelma Slinkard and her husband, Ron, Garnett; his brother Lyle Miller, Richmond, KS; his sister, Evelyn Sharp, Independence, Mo; his grandchildren, Rod Foltz, Angie Sears and her husband, Randy, Jeff Miller, Ryan Miller, and Katie Slinkard; and four great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Sue Hardman, organist, and Scott Schulte, soloist. Musical selections included ‘Here I Am, Lord’, ‘How Great Thou Art’, ‘Amazing Grace’, and ‘Seven Spanish Angels’. Casketbearers were Rod Foltz, Ryan Miller, Randy Miller, Lyle Rockers, Jeff Miller, Dude Hirt, Steve Poss, and Alvin Sharp, Jr. Honorary casketbearers were Bill and Sandy Bachman, Bob Meliza, Lillian Maggard, Berniece Rockers, and Henry and Hilda Wittman. A Rosary was said on Thursday, August 7, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Church, with the family greeting friends afterwards. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Church or Midland Hospice, which may be left in care of the funeral home. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.” “Esther Mae Seeber 1921-2003 Graveside services and interment for Esther Mae Seeber, 82, Kincaid, KS, were Thursday, August 7, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kincaid Cemetery with Pastor Paul Hickman officiating. Mrs. Seeber died Tuesday, August 5, at Allen County Hospital, Iola, KS. Esther Mae Seeber was born June 17, 1921, at Parker, KS, the daughter of Frank and Pensie (Webb) Belong. She graduated from Parker High School and married Robert Polley on August 14, 1938. He preceded her in death in January 1978. She was employed at Midland Brake in Iola for ten years. Esther and Calvin Seeber were married April 29, 1983, in Miami, OK. Mrs. Seeber was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pensie Belong. Esther is survived by her husband, Calvin Seeber, Kincaid, KS; her daughters, Shirley Pippin and Jackie Riley, both of California; Dorothy Mae Turner of Missouri, and Teresa Raygoza of Oregon; her sons, Charles Seeber of Tennessee, Wayne Seeber of Missouri, and Ronald Dean Seeber, Iola, KS; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. The family greeted friends on Wednesday, August 6, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Meagan Marie Heady was born September 19, 1981, at Coffeyville, KS, the daughter of William Dean and Amanda Lee (Kelly) Heady. She moved to Garnett with her parents, where she attended elementary school and Anderson County Junior Senior High School. Meagan is survived by her son, Spyncer Hiles, of the home; her father and stepmother, Bill and Dawn Heady, Coffeyville, KS; her mother, Amanda Kelly, Richmond, KS; her sister, Brandy Martin, Overland Park, KS: her paternal grandparents, Warren and Ruby Heady, Coffeyville, KS; and her maternal grandparents, Loren and Margaret Kelly, Cape Fair, MO. A trust fund has been established for her son, Spyncer Hiles, and contributions may be left in care of the funeral home. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery, Mound City. Mr. Morgan died Thursday, August 7, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Robert Franklin Morgan was born September 23, 1963, at Chanute, KS, the son of Larry and Sandra (Gervais) Morgan. He was a 1981 graduate of Jayhawk Linn High School in Mound City. Robert was employed as a welder and was a member of the Boilermakers #592 of Tulsa, Ok. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mound City. Mr. Morgan is survived by his father, Larry Morgan and his wife, Marilyn, LaCygne, KS; his mother Sandra DePoe and her husband, Larry, Kincaid, KS: three brothers, Russell Morgan, Mound City, KS, Wayne Hester and his wife, Rita and family, Elizabeth and Amanda, and Ty Aldridge and his wife, Dian and son, Damon; his sisters, Susanna Thyer and her husband, Jeff and family, Caleb, Casey, and C.J, Jamie New and her husband, Jim, and children, and Dedra Smith and children; his aunts, Sharon Aikins and Sharon O’Callaghan; and his paternal grandparents, Herman and Eleanor Morgan and Ellen Hester.
