Conley 1913-2003 Graveside services and interment for Opal A. Conley, 89, Colony, KS, were Friday, August 29, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Colony Cemetery with Rev. Tom Yates officiating. Mrs. Conley died Tuesday, August 26, at Moran Manor, Moran, KS. Opal A. Conley was born October 22, 1913, at Fresno, CA, the daughter of Charles and Cleva (Richter) Wright. She had lived in the Colony area since 1930 and was a member of the Colony VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Opal was a homemaker and Fred chaser. Opal and Harry Clay Conley, Sr. were married March 15, 1942, at Colony. Mrs. Conley was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clay Conley, Sr., in 1989; her son, Butch Conley, in 1994; her grandchildren, Michael Conley and T.A. Masters; two brothers and one sister. Opal is survived by her sons, Harry C. Conley, Jr. and his wife, Martha, Colony, KS, and Fred A. Conley and his wife, Karen, Independence, MO; her daughters, Charlotte Masters and her husband, Terry, Chariton, IA, and Ellie Watson and her husband, Steve, Colony, KS; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. The family greeted friends on Thursday, August 28, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Colony. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Chapel, Moran, KS. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Sonia Lynn Hutchinson 1958-2003 Funeral services for Sonia Lynn Hutchinson, 46, Rantoul, KS, were Sunday, August 31, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, KS, with Pastor Richard Dunn officiating. Interment was in Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul. Ms. Hutchinson died Thursday, August 28, at her home. Sonia Lynn Hutchinson was born December 11, 1956, at Emporia, KS, the daughter of Jack L. and Pat M. (Ross) Hutchinson. She had lived in Rantoul since September, 2002, moving from Ottawa where she had lived since 1974. She graduated from Central Heights High School with the Class of 1974 and attended truck driving school in Sun Prairie, WI. In the mid to late 1970’s, she worked for H.D. Lee and in the early to mid-1980’s, for Parmalee Corporation, both of Ottawa. In the late 1980’s, she was a truck driver for Cartwright Van Lines in Kansas City, MO. Sonia was employed as a forklift operator for Our Own Hardware in Ottawa in the 1990’s until the business closed, then as an assembly worker for Ottawa Truck until January, 2003. As a youth, she was a member of Rantoul Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Aerie Lodge #2700, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa; Franklin County Cancer Group Therapy, where she participated in several fund raisers; and Royal Neighbors of America. Ms. Hutchinson is survived by her parents, Jack L. and Pat M. Hutchinson, Rantoul, KS; her brothers, Daniel Hutchinson, Rantoul, KS, and Chris Hutchinson, Princeton, KS; her nephews, Sean Hutchinson, Kevin Hutchinson, and Jon White; her nieces, Chelsea Hutchinson, Amanda Hutchinson, and Amy Riddle; and her special friend Suzy Weaver, Ottawa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Ransom Memorial Hospital Outpatient Clinic in care of the funeral home.
