Yoder 1928-2003 Funeral services for Ora W. Yoder, Welda, KS, were Thursday, September 11, 2003, at the family residence in Welda with Robert Mullet, Truman Yoder, and Edward T. Yoder officiating. Burial was in the Amish Cemetery in Garnett. Mr. Yoder died September 8 at his home at the age of 75 years, seven months, and thirteen days, after being diagnosed with cancer the first of May 2003. Ora W. Yoder was born January 26, 1928, in Haven, KS, the son of William D. and Susie (Yoder) Yoder. He married Emma J. Yoder, daughter of Jerry J. and Amanda B. (Mullet) Yoder on March 27, 1942, at Haven, KS. Seven children were born to this union. Ora moved to Anderson County in 1948 and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He worked as a carpenter for Troyer Construction until Floyd’s death in August 1990. He, then, helped his son-in-law farm. Mr. Yoder was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Susie Yoder; one granddaughter, one sister, and five brothers. Ora is survived by his wife, Emma Yoder, of the home; his children, Jerry Yoder and his wife, Konnie, Garden City, MO, Fern Miller and her husband, Wilmer, Partridge, KS, Jay Yoder and his wife, Nettie, Mountain View, AR, Perry Yoder and his wife, Nancy, Montezuma, GA, Lorene Borntrager and her husband, Garnett, Irene Borntrager and her husband, Phineas, Welda, KS, and Merle Yoder and his wife, Esther, Lincoln, MO; thirty-one grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nine sisters and six brothers.
