Fox 1925-2003 Graveside services and interment for Betty L. Fox, 78, Richmond, KS, were Monday, October 27, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mrs. Fox died Thursday, October 23, at Anderson County Hospital, Garnett. Betty L. Fox was born April 28, 1925, at Ottawa, KS, the daughter of Floyd and Tensie (Williamson) Cutbirth. She grew up in Ottawa and graduated from Ottawa High School. She had lived in Richmond since her marriage. Betty was a homemaker and was a sewing machine operator for H.D. Lee in Ottawa. Betty and Richard Fox were married September 2, 1948, at Ottawa. Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on August 29, 1996; and her parents, Floyd and Tensie Cutbirth. Betty is survived by her son, Larry Fox and his wife, Margie, Richmond, KS; her grandchildren, Mike Fox and his wife, Lori, Lenexa, KS, and Janet Fox, Emporia, KS; and four great-grandchildren. The family greeted friends on Sunday, October 26, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, Richmond, KS. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Garnett, was in charge of arrangements.” “Therese Janice Watkins 1932-2003 Funeral services for Therese Janice Watkins, 69, Kincaid, KS, were Sunday, October 26, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Father George Matz officiating. Mrs. Watkins died Wednesday, October 24, at her home. Therese Janice Watkins was born December 9, 1932, at Carthage, MO, the daughter of Bill Purcell and Hester (Dressler) Purcell McGinnis. She lived most of her life in Johnson County, graduating from high school in Overland Park. She had resided in Olathe, KS, for more than 40 years and had lived in Kincaid for one year. She was a homemaker and had been employed by Puritan Bennett of Lenexa, KS. Therese and Charles E. Watkins were married March 7, 1968, at Miami, OK. Mrs. Watkins is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; her sons, Steve Cockerel, Cypress, TX, and Larry Cockerel, Kansas City, MO; her daughters, Debrah Pokpapahn, Olathe, KS, and Amy Watkins, Kincaid; her brother, Robert Purcell, Overland Park, KS; her sister, Marilyn Lattner, Olathe, KS; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Therese Watkins Memorial Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
