Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Osawatomie Cemetery, Osawatomie KS. Mr. McCullough died Monday, November 17 at Anderson County Hospital. Richard Lee “Larry” McCullough was born June 27, 1940, at Rantoul, KS, the son of Cecil Wayne and Marie (Krueger) McCullough. He graduated from Paola High School in Paola, KS. He worked as a game warden for the State of Kansas from 1968 to 1982. Richard and Bonnie Williams were married on December 29, 1964, at Paola and were divorced in 1983. Mr. McCullough was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Wayne McCullough. Richard is survived by his son, Jason W. McCullough, Fort Mill, SC; his daughters, Jodie L. Allnut, Garnett, and Patricia M. McCullough, Piqua, KS; his mother, Marie McCullough; his brothers, Ray McCullough, Mt. Ida, AR, and Jim D. McCullough, Osawatomie, KS; and seven grandchildren. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist, and Karen Revey, soloist. Musical selections included “This World Is Not My Home” and “I’ll Fly Away”. Casketbearers were Jim McCullough, Jason McCullough, Mike McCullough, Kevin McCullough, Reese Jones, and Lonnie Allnut. Honorary casketbearers were Jack McCullough, Norman Johnston, Kass Allnut, and John Elmer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Audubon Society and left in care of the funeral home. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Joseph E. Sayers 1935-2003 Funeral services for Joseph E. Sayers, 68, Alexandria, VA, were October 17, 2003, at Alexandria, VA. Interment with military honors was November 12, 2003, at Arlington Cemetery, Washington, D.C.. Mr. Sayers died October 12 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Joseph E. Sayers was born May 25, 1935, at Kansas City, the son of Harry and Georgetta Sayers. He graduated from Garnett High School and later attended Kansas State University. He served in the United States Army between 1955 and 1957 and was awarded the Soldier’s Medal for heroism. He began his career in aviation as a mechanic for TWA in Kansas City, before going with Eastern Airlines in 1967. He was in their Florida pilot training facility for three months, after which he and his wife, Janet, moved to Arlington, VA, being assigned to Washington, D.C. and staying based there for the duration of his flight career. In what he considered to be an even greater challenge, from 1990 to 1999, he was a Special Education bus driver in Fairfax County, VA. In addition to being a fulltime husband and father, Joe took great joy in his parttime endeavors as tennis player, angler, gardener, cook, scout leader, home improvement and repairman, and photographer. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Janet (Sveen) Sayers, of the home; his son, Michael P. Sayers, McLean, VA; his brothers, Harry P. Sayers, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, George T.
