Steve Traw officiating. Interment was in Colony Cemetery. Mr. McGraw died Friday, November 21, at Anderson County Hospital. Eldon Lee McGraw was born September 8, 1956, at Garnett, the son of Clyde H. and Verna (Pruitt) McGraw. He graduated from Crest High School with the Class of 1974. He was an oil field worker. Eldon and Cheryl Watt were married on December 24, 1983, at Colony. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1996. Mr. McGraw was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde H. and Verna McGraw. Eldon is survived by his son, Leland Ray McGraw, Welda, KS; his brother, Duane McGraw, Iola, KS; his sister, Wilma Ballard, Lawrence, KS; his soulmate, Mary Bass, Welda; her children, Melinda Wahl, Crystal Hall, and Amanda Reiter; six grandchildren; and Minnie. Recorded musical selections included ‘Give Me Three Steps’ by Lynyrd Skynyrd, ‘Only God Knows Why’ by Kid Rock, and ‘Keep On Loving You’ by REO Speedwagon. James W. Van Etten officiating. Interment was in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, KS. Mrs. Van Etten died Tuesday, November 18, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS. Francis Van Etten was born in Lyman County, SD, the daughter of James and Julia (Stone) Greenwood. She and Lester A. Van Etten were married on December 26, 1950, at Pierre, SD. They moved to Garnett in 1970. Francis and her husband did missionary work at reservations in South Dakota. They also ministered and taught Christian education classes at the Spanish Assembly of God in Rawlins, WY, for four years, and at the Full Gospel Assembly of God in Garnett for 17 years. She was a member of Living Water Fellowship before she passed away. Francis was an inspiration and a joy to all. Her masterful creativity and beautiful artistry have always been admired, and those who have viewed it have been truly blessed. Mrs. Van Etten was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lester A. Van Etten; her sons, Lester Van Etter, Jr., Clifton Van Etten, and Rick Van Etten; her daughter, Sheryl Keva Van Etten; her parents, James and Julie Greenwood; her sisters, Elsie Mang and Esther Chavez; and her brother, Paul Greenwood. Francis is survived by her sons, Larry Van Etten, Alturas, CA, Richard Van Etten and his wife, Ruby, Sacramento, CA, James Van Etten, LeRoy, KS, and Kip Van Etten and his wife, Becky, Iola, KS, and Jody Van Etten and his wife, Andrea, Vancouver, WA; her daughters, Linda Maley, Garnett, Julia Crowell and her husband, Olin, Edgerton, KS, Lyla Freidline, Garnett, Wanda Trout, Chanute, KS, Leslie A. Van Etten, Washington, and Wendy Williams, Missouri; and her sisters, Cecilia Hill and her husband, Ivan, Welda, KS, and Phoebe Mott, Colony, KS; 24 grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews, and several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Tinsley died Monday, November 24, at his home. Charles R. Tinsley was born February 25, 1927, at Welda, KS, the son of James and Alma (Hyde) Tinsley. He graduated from Colony High School in 1947 and served in Japan during World War II. He was employed by Colt Energy, retiring in 1989. Charles and Charlene Rose were married August 20, 1948, at Boulder, CO. Mr. Tinsley was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alma Tinsley; his daughter, Nancy Tinsley in September, 2000; his grandson, Staci Tinsley in 2001; and his brother, Jim Tinsley in December, 2000. Charles is survived by his wife Charlene, of the home; his sons, Jerry Tinsley and his wife, Mona, Springfield, MO, and Chris Tinsley and his wife, June, Neodesha, KS; his daughter, Gayle Coulson and her husband, Terry, Rantoul, KS; his sisters, Eula Mae Simpson, Quinter, KS, and Mary Barker, Springfield, MO; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Drummond died November 20 at Village Manor Nursing Home, Ottawa. Laura N. Drummond was born April 10, 1905, at Barnard, MO, the daughter of Benjamin Wilson and Maggie Elizabeth (Reed) Lucas. She moved with her family to Garnett when she was six years old, and at the age of nine, her family moved to Weaubleu, MO. When she was twelve, they moved to Richmond, KS, then to Ottawa where she attended school. At the time of her marriage, she and her husband moved to Kansas City, KS. Laura was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Argentine, KS, and attended the Nazarene Church in Ottawa. She was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. She was a lifelong homemaker. Laura and William E. Drummond were married on February 16, 1924, at Ottawa. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1973. Mrs. Drummond was also preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Wilson and Maggie Elizabeth Lucas, her sisters, Eula Everson and Lucretia Burton; and her brothers, Archie Lucas, Orville Lucas, Orton Lucas, Milo Lucas, Ted Lucas, and Kendall Lucas. Mr. Hendricks died Saturday, November 22, at Jefferson County Memorial Geriatrics Center, Winchester, KS. Ronnie Eugene ‘Ron’ Hendricks was born October 15, 1941, at Carona, KS, the son of Chester and Leona McReynolds Hendricks. He was a veteran of the United States Navy based in Long Beach, CA. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. He lived in Olathe, KS, and Ottawa, KS, prior to moving to Bernice, OK, in 1987. He loved to fish. Ron was a volunteer with the sheriff patrol in Olathe and also served as a volunteer fireman with the Olathe Fire Department. He was a member of Post #02592 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bernice, OK. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Leona Hendricks; and his brother, Charles Hendricks. Ron is survived by his sons, Mark Hendricks and Michael Hendricks, both of Ottawa, KS; his daughters, Rhonda Moran, Osage City, KS, and Julie Sieve, Valley Falls, KS: his sisters, Helen Wolf and Rita Headley, both of Devon, KS; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and two nieces.
