Gale Mack officiating. Mrs. Skipp died Wednesday, April 7, at her home. Shirley Jean Skipp was born June 5, 1926, at Brainerd, MN, the daughter of Ervin Harry and Flossie Irous (Jones) Mason. She grew up in Milwaukee, MN, and graduated from high school there, leaving Milwaukee in 1964. She later moved to York, PA, where she lived for 18 years and moved to Garnett from York in 1996. She was a secretary. Mrs. Skipp is survived by her son, John Skipp, Hollywood, CA; her daughters, Linda Kirkeeide and her husband, Bob, Colorado Springs, CO, and Maureen Harvey and her husband, Keith, Kincaid, KS; and eight grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Midland Hospice. Huseby 1908-2004 Graveside services and interment for Frances A. Huseby, 95, Blue Springs, MO, formerly of Garnett, were Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the Garnett Cemetery under the direction of Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Huseby died Thursday, April 8, at Blue Springs Care Center. Frances A. Huseby was born April 15, 1908, at Garnett, KS, the daughter of Frank and Bessie Mae (Sutton) Anderson. She had worked for H.D. Lee Company as a sewing machine operator, and was a member of Heartland Church, Blue Springs. Mrs. Huseby was preceded in death by her husband, Finn Huseby; and her parents, Frank and Bessie Anderson. Frances is survived by her daughters, Betty L. Totten, Grain Valley, MO, and Vera Mae Marr, St. James, NY; her stepsons, Richard Huseby, New Port Richie, FL, and Robert Huseby, Monnett, MO; her stepdaughter, Charm Sperry, Friendsville, TX; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren. The family received friends on Monday, April 12, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Webb-Freer Funeral Home. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mrs. Gilman died Thursday, April 8, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Bonnie Gilman was born January 11, 1917, in Anderson County, KS, the daughter of Lewis and Katherine (Frizell) Drybread. She was one of eleven children in her family, and the last surviving member of her family. Bonnie and Floyd Serene were married in 1935 and lived on a farm near Waverly, KS. He preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Marvin Gilman in 1962 and moved to Garnett in 1994. Mrs. Gilman was also preceded in death by her son, Jack Edward Serene; her parents Lewis and Katherine Drybread; and all of her siblings. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Marvin, who currently lives at Golden Heights Living Center, Garnett; four nieces, three nephews, and many friends. The family suggests memorial contributions to Golden Heights Living Center.
