Interment was in Cherry Mound Cemetery, rural Westphalia. Mrs. Young died Tuesday, May 4, at her home. Hildy Young was born March 27, 1923, at Haven, KS, the daughter of Frederick and Marie (Juchter) Koch. She was raised in Haven and graduated from Haven High School in 1941. She moved to Lyons, KS, where she lived until 1965. Hildy worked as a dental assistant in Lyons for Dr. Robert Liska. She moved to Garnett in 1976. She was a homemaker. Hildy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Altar Guild. Hildy and Robert Adam were married July 10, 1942, at Hutchinson, KS. One daughter was born to this union. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1961. Hildy and Bob Young were married August 6, 1965 at Lyons. Mrs. Young was also preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Marie Koch; and her brother, Roland Koch. Hildy is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; her son, Tim Young and his wife, Jeanette, Garnett; her daughters, Ruth Ann Knight and her husband, Don, Schertz, TX, and Debbie Polson and her husband, Don, Louisburg, KS; her sisters, Anita Fuqua and Doris Renfro, both of Wichita, KS: 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Lori Cook, organist, and Pam Ahring, who sang 'The Old Rugged Cross', and Sara Dykes and Lacy Feuerborn who sang 'In The Garden'. Casketbearers were Hildy's grandsons, Mike Knight, Tom McMullen, Mike Graves, John Shannon, Mike Olhmeier, Jeff Truax, Brian Dykes, and Levi Feuerborn. Honorary casketbearers were Leon Shrum, Ray Meyer, Jim Sobba, and Mike Wawrzewski. The family greeted friends at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." Page 5, Column 2: "Marie E. Coppenbarger 1909-2004 Funeral services for Marie E. Coppenbarger, 94, Wichita, KS, formerly of Garnett, are Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment is in Holy Angels Cemetery. Mrs. Coppenbarger died Wednesday, May 5, at Wichita. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements." "Leslie Ray 'Buzz' Mallory 1919-2004 Graveside interment services for Leslie Ray 'Buzz' Mallory, 85, Williamsburg, KS, were Saturday, May 8, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Franklin County, KS, with Pastor Jim Cain officiating. Mr. Mallory died Wednesday, May 5, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, KS. Leslie Ray Mallory was born April 20, 1919, at Homewood, KS, the son of John Leslie and Edith (Brown) Mallory. He was a lifelong Williamsburg resident and had lived in the same house since he was six months old. He attended schools at '96' and Williamsburg High School until his sophomore year, when he left to help on the family farm. He was a lifelong farmer and stockman. Mr. Mallory was a member of the former Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Leslie and Bernice Ruth Barton were married January 16, 1941, at Williamsburg. Mr. Mallory was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edith Mallory; and his sister, Opal Nitcher. Leslie is survived by his wife, Bernice Ruth Mallory, Richmond, KS: his son, Carol Mallory, Williamsburg, KS; his sister, Olla Keenan, Ottawa, KS; his grandchildren, Mindy Baker, Williamsburg, KS, Mark Mallory, Overland Park, KS, and Michael Mallory, Lawrence, KS; his great-grandsons, Jackson Ray Mallory and Peyton Michael Mallory, both of Lawrence, KS; and several nieces and nephews. The family greeted friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to proceeding to the cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Williamsburg Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. 'Debbie' Meier, 49, Williamsburg, KS, were Monday, May 10, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clyde Greisen officiating. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS. Miss Meier died Wednesday, May 5, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, KS. Debra D. Meier was born December 17, 1954, at Sabetha, KS, the daughter of Floyd and Anna M. (Davidson) Meier. She moved with her family to Topeka in 1955. They later moved to the Kansas City area, where they lived until 1969 when they moved to Ottawa. Debbie spent 25 years at Madison Manor Care Center in Madison, KS, and three years at Richmond Care Center in Richmond, KS, both with frequent visits home. Debbie enjoyed spending summer vacations at the Jaycees Cerebral Palsy Ranch in Augusta, KS. Miss Meier was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Meier; and her grandparents, Jim Davidson, Dorothy Davidson, and Augusta Meier. Debbie is survived by her mother, Anna M. Meier, Williamsburg, KS; her brothers, Dean Meier and his wife, Jeanette, Kansas City, MO, Doug Meier, Ottawa, KS, and Dan Meier, Kansas City, MO; her sister, Dottie Blake and her husband, Joe, Garnett; her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Blake and Jesse Blake, both of Garnett; and Ryan Meier, Megan Meier, and Emily Meier, all of Kansas City, MO. Musical selections included 'Little Tommy's Prayer', 'To Where You Are', and 'How Great Thou Art'. Casketbearers were Dean Meier, Doug Meier, Dan Meier, Ryan Meier, Joe Blake, and George Steward. The family greeted friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to a fund established in her honor, the beneficiary of which will be determined at a later date.
