Powell 1922-2004 Funeral services for Erma Z. Powell, 82, Stockton, KS, were Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Colony, KS, with Rev. Hobie Brown officiating. Interment was in Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, KS. Mrs. Powell died Friday, May 28, at Rooks County Health Center, Plainville, KS. Erma Z. Powell was born February 26, 1922, at Liberal, KS, the daughter of Bruce and Nancy Leotia (Gregg) Baker. She grew up in Blue Mound, KS, where she was united in marriage to Orval Powell on September 15, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1988. Erma was a homemaker who lived in Toronto, KS, for 20 years and in Russell, KS, for 20 years. She had spent the last eight years in the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, KS. Mrs. Powell was also preceded in death by an infant son, David Powell, her son, Larry Edward Powell; her parents, Bruce and Nancy Baker; and her step-father, Fred Reibe. Erma is survived by her son Bruce Powell, El Paso, TX; her daughters, Janiece Horrell, Palm City, FL, and Carolyne Griffin, Plainville, KS; her sister, Olan Finfrock, Mound City, KS: her brother-in-law, Cecil Powell and his wife, Donna, Colony, KS; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Kloma Buckle. Musical selections included 'My God and I' and 'Amazing Grace'. Casketbearers were Kaleb Gilkerson, Bradley Griffin, Rob Griffin, Steve Horrell, Scott Powell, and Wayne Powell. Honorary casketbearer was Tracey Benton. The family suggests memorials to Solomon Valley Manor, 315 South Ash, Stockton, KS 67669. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements." "Martha J. Noyes 1938-2004 Funeral services for Martha J. Noyes, 66, LaHarpe, KS, were Thursday, June 3, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Chapel, Iola, KS, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating.
