Slagle, 55, Garnett, were Monday, June 28, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, Emerald, KS. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Phyllis Jean Hollon 1936-2004 Funeral services for Phyllis Jean (Bones) Hollon, 67, Williamsburg, KS, were Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, KS, with Pastor Richard Dunn officiating. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS. Mrs. Hollon died Wednesday, June 23, at her home. Phyllis Jean Hollon was born December 17, 1936 at Princeton, KS, the daughter of Glen Harold and Verna Angeline (Bair) Bones. She grew up and lived in Franklin County for most of her life before moving into Ottawa in 1957. She attended Ottawa High School. She was a homemaker and also worked as an assembler at King Radio in Ottawa from 1972 until retiring in 1996. Phyllis was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She was a former member of Methodist Church in Osawatomie, where she taught Sunday School and worked in the Church Nursery for many years. She was also a former project leader for Town and Country 4-H Club. Phyllis and Robert Burney ‘Bob’ Hollon were married February 1, 1953, in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2003. Mrs. Hollon was also preceded in death by her parents, Glen Harold and Verna Angeline Bones; her brothers, Harold Bones and Frederick Bones; and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hollon. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Marie ‘Cindy’ Barnes, Old Fort, NC, and Teresa Lea ‘Terri’ Dixon, Rantoul, KS; her sons, Robert Earl ‘Bobby’ Hollon, Williamsburg, KS, and Michael Eugene ‘Mike’ Hollon, Palm Bay, FL; her sister, Rose Marie (Mace) Bingham, Ottawa, KS; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
