Henry A. Roberts, Jr., officiating. Interment was in Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul. Mrs. Lantis died Tuesday, July 27, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS. Linda Darlene Lantis was born June 1, 1949, at Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Vernon Nelson and Etta Mae (Goff) Belew. She lived in Liberty, MO, until moving with her family to Michigan at the age of two. In 1958, she moved to Wyoming, then to Kansas in 1970, Oregon in 1976, California in 1979, Utah in 1980, and Ottawa in 1983. Linda graduated from Rawlins (Wyoming) High School with the Class of 1967. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Buildex in Ottawa for the past 18 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Louisburg, and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ottawa. She was also a member of Eagles Club for Robert Schuler, and Sparrows Club. Linda and Tom Lantis were married March 7, 1968, in Rawlins, WY. They later divorced. Mrs. Lantis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Nathan Ball of Ottawa; her parents, Vernon and Etta Mae Belew of Garnett; her sisters, Barbara Belew of Corbin, KY, Penny Murphy of Arkadelphia, AR, and Billie Altenhofen of Cottonwood Falls; her grandchildren, Jay and Amanda Ball; five nieces and one nephew. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.” “William David “W.D.” Brown 1923-2004 Funeral services for William David “W.D.” Brown, 81, Ottawa, were Friday, July 30, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Georgia Hale officiating. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton. Mr. Brown died Wednesday, July 28, at Christian Care Cottage in Ottawa. William David Brown was born May 12, 1923, in Tonkawa, OK, the son of Ralph and Mildred (Purgett) Brown. His family moved to rural Ottawa in 1936. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1942. David and Lucille “Maxine” McClay were married January 23, 1946, in Ottawa. They shared over 58 years of marriage. He was a farmer who raised crops and cared for livestock. He was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, Princeton; the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 803, Ottawa; and a charter member of the Princeton Recreation Association. He loved tending his farm and especially spending time with his family. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred Brown; and three sisters, Florabelle Decker, Golden Nelson, and Helen Hall. David is survived by his wife, Maxine, of the home; his sons, David Craig Brown and his wife Myrna of Springdale, AR, and Marc William Brown and his wife Susie of Richmond; his daughters, Sharon Elaine Haas and her husband Pat of Ottawa, and Jan Leanne Croucher and her husband Rod of Ottawa; one brother, John Newton Brown and his wife Yvonne, Lompoc, CA; one sister, Maxine Petty, Santa Marie, CA; eight grandchildren, Travis Haas and his wife Hane, Bentonville AR, Megan Morris and her husband Doug, Ottawa; James David Brown and his wife Amy of Cave Springs, AR, Rachelle Donohue and her husband Dan of Garnett, Wade “W.D.” Brown and Derek Brown, both of Richmond, and Andy Croucher and Cody Croucher both of Ottawa; and seven great-grandchildren, Natalie and Nicole Donohue, Gavin and Dane Haas, Randi and Quincy Morris, and Caleb David Brown.
