Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Lone Elm Cemetery. Mrs. Henry died Wednesday, October 6, at Anderson County Hospital. Elsie Wood Henry was born December 22, 1910, at Moran, the daughter of Will and Mary (Baker) Wood. She was a telephone operator in Paola and Moran before her marriage. Elsie and Robert W. Henry were married April 30, 1930, at Garnett. He preceded her in death November 5, 1995. Mrs. Henry was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Faith, on March 30, 2004; her parents, Will and Mary Wood; her brother, Lewis Wood; and her sister, Edith Neff. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Jeanine Zentner and her husband George, of Garnett, and Twyla Duryea, also of Garnett; her brothers, Carrell Baker of Chanute and Clarence Wood of Salome, AZ; her sister, Lula Mow of Moses Lake, WA; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Music was provided by Jon Covault, organist, and Richard Parks, soloist. Musical selections included “One Day At A Time” and “How Great Thou Art”. Casketbearers were Mike Zentner, Craig Faith, Ron Faith, Don Faith, Harold Duryea, and Jim Duryea. The family greeted friends on Friday, October 8, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Garnett First Baptist Church. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 4: “Irean Bell Kyle 1909-2004 Funeral services for Irean Bell Kyle, 95, Garnett, were Friday, October 8, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Judy Brown officiating. Interment was in Garnett Cemetery. Mrs. Kyle died Monday, October 4. Irean Bell Kyle was born August 15, 1909, at Basehor, the daughter of Henry Daniel and Della (DeMaranville) Dunn. She attended school in Bonner Springs. She moved to Linn County in 1946, later moving to Garnett in 1954 where she lived the rest of her life. She had attended the Assembly of God Church since the late 1950’s, where she was also a Sunday School teacher. Irean enjoyed quilting and canning. She was a machine operator at H.D. Lee in Ottawa for more than 20 years. Irean and Walter Daniel Kyle were married December 10, 1929, at Bonner Springs. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1973. Mrs. Kyle was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Della Dunn; her son, Chester Kyle; her daughter, Wilma Nickelson; her grandsons, Leslie D. Reed, Harvey Lee Reed, and Larry Eugene Shadle; her brother, Ira Dunn; her daughter-in-law, Edna Mae Kyle; and her sons-in-law, Leslie E. Reed and Ivan Nickelson. Irean is survived by her daughter, Shirley Reed of Garnett; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Pam McSwane, organist, and Harriet Kellerman, Nelda Tawney, and Sharon Warbritton vocalists. Musical selections included “I Will Not Be Denied” and “Oh, I Want To See Him”. Casketbearers were Larry Lee, Bill Brown, Dennis Reed, Rusty Coons, Art Gilmore, and Neal Reed. Honorary casketbearers were James Kyle, Walter Dysart, Charles Wells, and Albert Mace. The family greeted friends Thursday, October 7, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
