Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Alford died Sunday, November 28, at Greenwood County Hospital. Kenneth Duane Alford was born December 3, 1933, at Peru, KS, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Chrisman) Alford. He was raised in Coffeyville and attended school there, graduating from Coffeyville High School with the Class of 1951. On September 18, 1952, he was united in marriage to Mary Dye at Sedan. They made their home in Sedan where Kenneth worked for the Rural Electric Association and Johnson’s Feed Store. On May 1, 1954, the family moved to Eureka and Kenneth began his career with the Kansas Department of Transportation, first in the engineering department and later as the Maintenance Supervisor. He retired on June 1, 1994, with more than forty years of service. Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Alford; and one grandson, Eric Plew. Kenneth is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Mary, of the home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Debbie Alford of Garnett, Joe and Silvia Alford of Xanten-Marianbaum, Germany, and Jack and Cyndi Alford of Eureka; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Ken Plew, and Rhonda and Steve Bartel, all of Mulvane; his grandchildren, Diana Alford, Travis Alford, Daniel Alford, Megan Alford, Miranda Bartel, Alex Plew, Sean Alford, Wade Bartel, and Mathew Alford; his great- grandchildren, Lukas Alford and Caden Bartel; his brother, Gerald Alford of Independence; and his sisters, Phyllis Alford and Janet Alford, both of Bartlesville, OK. Memorials may be made to Greenwood County Hospital. Interment was at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Cemetery, Emerald, with Father Michael Hawken officiating. Mr. Angold died Sunday, November 21, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Thomas Joseph Angold was born March 7, 1924, at St. Joseph, MO, the son of Joseph and Hellen (Ross) Angold. He was plant manager for IMCO Container Company, and tool and die craftsman for Hans Rudolph Company. He served his country with the United States Navy. He was a member of VFW Post #6397 in Garnett, and Christ the King Parish. After the passing of his wife, Rita, Tom remained very active. He truly enjoyed his Friday Romanelli lunch group and his best friends that met daily at Richey’s to solve all the day’s problems. Thomas and Rita K. Mulcahey were married July 15, 1950, at Kansas City, MO. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2003. Mr. Angold is survived by his son, Jeff Angold and his wife, Leah, of Kansas City, MO; his daughters, Carol Andreason and her husband, Bill, Kansas City, MO, and Gail Ohly and her husband, Paul, of Rochester, MN; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Ann Dillon, vocalist, and Susie Adams, accompanist. Musical selections included “Be Not Afraid”, “Shepherd”, “Me”, “Oh God”, “Ave Maria”, “Prayer of St. Francis”, and “On Eagle’s Wings”. Casketbearers were Emilie Morales, Jessica Andreason, Travis Ohly, Rachel Ohly, Zachary Ohly, Sarah Angold, Jeffrey Angold, Caitlin Angold, Haley Angold, and Meghan Angold. Miller 1945-2004 Memorial services for Linda S. Miller, 59, Ottawa, were Tuesday, November 23, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, with Pastor Steven Iwerson officiating. Cremation was planned. Mrs. Miller died Sunday, November 21, at her home. Linda S. Miller was born March 4, 1945, at Richmond, CCA, the daughter of Ewltia and Juanita A. (Jackson) Robinson. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident and attended Ottawa High School with the Class of 1963. Linda was employed at Gibson’s Department Store and Pamida Department Store, both of Ottawa, as a sales clerk. She had been employed at Wal-Mart since it opened in Ottawa as an assistant manager, and later as a sales associate, totaling 22 years of service. She attended Ottawa Church of the Nazarene. Linda and Dennis Miller were married September 9, 1978, at Atchison. She was previously married to Wayne Morris. They were later divorced. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her father, Ewltia Robinson. Linda is survived by her husband, Dennis, of the home; her daughters, Missy Miller of Ottawa, Mindi Masoner of Chanute, Tracy Warner of Des Moines, IA, Shelley Hayward of Princeton, and Lori Morris of Kansas City, MO; her step-daughter, Terice Bennett of Grove, OK; her step-son, Troy Miller of Tulsa, OK; her mother, Juanita (Jackson) Robinson of Ottawa; her brothers, Larry Robinson of Gladwin, MI, and Michael Robinson of Ottawa; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
