Falke 1908-2004 Mass of Christian Burial for Frank J. Falke, 96, Westphalia, was Friday, December 10, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church with Father Michael Hawken officiating. Interment was in St. Teresa Cemetery. Mr. Falke died Monday, December 6, at Villa St. Joseph, Overland Park. Frank J. Falke was born June 28, 1908, at Elberfeldt, Germany, the son of Joseph and Lisette (Ernst) Falke. He lived with his family in Germany until 1923 when he moved to Westphalia. He was a farmer in the Westphalia area, maintaining his interest in farming until his death. Frank was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and the Parish Council. Frank and Cecilia Redeker were married June 28, 1938, at Olpe. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2004. Mr. Falke was also preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lisette Falke; two brothers and one sister. Frank is survived by his sons, Frank Falke of DeSoto, Phillip Falke of Odessa, MO, Carl Falke of Dallas, TX, John Falke of Denver, CO, and Paul Falke of Westphalia; his daughters, Sister Jane Falke of Paola, Jeanne Kobler of Bonner Springs, and Rose Mary Walsh of Olathe; his brother, Karl Falke of Cologne, Germany; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Music was provided by Jeanne Antram, organist, and Ursuline Sisters, vocalists. Musical selections included “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace”, “God Of All People”, “Saints of God”, and “May The Angels Lead You Into Paradise”. Casketbearers were Chad Falke, Jake Falke, Matt Falke, Thomas Falke, Doug Walsh, and Max Walsh. The family received friends on Thursday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the church in Westphalia. Memorials may be made to St. Teresa Parish, Ursuline Sisters, or the Villa St. Joseph.
