Gary Benjamin officiating. Mrs. Bruce died Saturday, March 5, at Olathe Medical Center. Katherine Rose Bruce was born January 10, 1962, at West Bend, WI, the daughter of the late Robert and Janice (Gray) Molter. She grew up in West Bend, living there until moving to Garnett in November of 1984. She was a 1980 graduate of West Bend High School. Kathy enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, and reading. She was an excellent cook, as well as baker, and she loved helping her children with their schoolwork. Kathy and Ronald G. Bruce were married February 15, 1985, at West Bend. Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her father, Robert Molter, on August 22, 2003; her grandparents, Edward and Bertha Gray; and her grandmother, Dorothy Elsinger. Kathy is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Garnett; her sons, Travis Brandon Bruce and Joshua Adam Bruce, both of Garnett, her daughters, Cassandra Rae Bruce and Brianna Marie Bruce, both of Garnett; her mother, Janice Molter of West Bend, WI; her brothers, Daniel Molter and his wife, Cindy, of Newburg, WI, and Randolf Molter of West Bend, WI; and her grandfather, Rainer Elsinger of West Bend, WI. Musical selections included “In The Arms Of An Angel”, “Amazing Grace”, “This Land Is Your Land”, and “Everything I Do, I Do For You”. Memorials may be made to Kathy’s children’s education fund. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 2: “Matilda “Tillie” Katzer 1910-2005 Funeral mass for Tillie Katzer, 94, Marble Falls, TX, formerly of Greeley, were Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Garnett with Father George Matz officiating. Lector was Charlie Miller. The eulogy was delivered by Charlie Katzer. Interment was in Holy Angels Cemetery. Mrs. Katzer died Saturday, March 5, at Stonebridge Health Center, Austin, TX. Tillie Katzer was born May 21, 1910, at Scipio, the daughter of Ignatius and Elizabeth (Lickteig) Miller. Tillie lived in the Scipio and Greeley area until moving to Marble Falls in 1995. She enjoyed the “southern hospitality” in Texas. She was a member of St. John’s Church and Altar Society, serving as an officer. She also served as the secretary for the Greeley Senior Citizens for many years. Tillie was a 4-H leader and served on the extension council. She was an honorary member of the Marble Falls quilt club. Tillie loved to cook, raise flowers, and be around children. Tillie and Leonard Katzer were married June 13, 1938, at Greeley. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2002. Mrs. Katzer was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Tillie is survived by her sons, Dr. Lenn Katzer of Manhattan and Charlie Katzer, and his wife, Ann, of Austin, TX; her daughter, Carol Katzer of Marble Falls, TX; her grandchildren, Tawn Katzer and his wife, Keela, Mike Katzer and his wife, Melissa, and Monica Sykes and her husband, Jeff; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Music was provided by Sue Hardman, organist, and Jane Lickteig, vocalist. Musical selections included “Peace Is Flowing Like A River”, “On This Day”, “O Beautiful Mother”, “Hail Mary”, “Gentle Woman”, and “On Eagle’s Wings”. Casketbearers were Rosalie Bures, Tawn Katzer, JoAnn Miller, Keith Miller, Raymond Miller, and Charlene Sturgis. Honorary casketbearers were Joe Katzer, Michael Katzer, Bernetta Payne, Leon Setter, Monica Sykes, and Richard Tallman. A rosary was said on Tuesday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends afterwards. Memorials are suggested to Holy Angels School or St. John’s School. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 3: “Kelly Jo Morrison 1968-2005 Funeral services for Kelly Jo Morrison, 37, Garnett, were Thursday, March 10, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Goodrich Cemetery. Mrs. Morrison died March 6 at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care, losing a courageous 10-year battle with brain cancer. Kelly Jo Morrison was born January 8, 1968, at Garnett, the daughter of Joseph Dale and Carol Jane (Radcliffe) Likes Weber. She graduated from Garnett High School with the Class of 1986. Kelly worked as a waitress until the birth of her second child in 1994. She worked at Sonic in Olathe and Osawatomie. She also worked at the Pioneer Room in Garnett. She enjoyed her job and was well-liked by her customers for her bubbly attitude. Kelly loved watching Chiefs football and being with her boys. They liked going to movies and listening to music. She enjoyed fishing, concerts, and, most of all, shopping. Kelly and Shawn Morrison were married June 30, 1990, at Greeley. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Jane Weber, on August 14, 1990; her brothers, William Ray “Billy” Likes on June 20, 1979, and Ricky Dean Likes, on November 19, 1983; and her grandparents, Noel Silas and Euleta Dell (Ashburn) Radcliffe, and Melvin Dale and Esther Clarcia (Demoret) Weber. Kelly is survived by her husband, Shawn, of Garnett; her sons, Jason William Morrison and Chancellor Dale Morrison, both of Garnett; her father, Joseph Dale Weber of Garnett; her brothers, David Lee Likes and Charles Noel Likes, both of Ottawa; her sisters, Lucinda Dell Egidy and her husband, Paul of Olathe, Sheryl Lynn Likes of Pomona, Lisa Gaye Mersman and her husband, Rick, of Greeley, and Linda Kay Likes of Pittsburg; her uncles, Charles Weber and his wife, Mary, of Williamsburg, and Howard Weber of Ottawa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. Musical selections included “Because He Lives”, “Hymn Of Promise”, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”.
