Roberts 1954-2005 Graveside services and interment for Mike D. Roberts, 50, Greeley, were Monday, January 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Mont Ida Cemetery, Mont Ida, KS, with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mr. Roberts died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at his home. Mike D. Roberts was born July 4, 1954, at Garnett, the son of Orson and Wanda (Brocklesby) Roberts. He had worked for Anderson County for 23 years, currently serving as a bridge foreman. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and the cattle on his farm. Mike and Lois Welborn were married December 29, 1995, at Greeley. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his father, Orson Roberts, in 2000. Mike is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; his son, Lee Michael Roberts and his wife, Amy, of Garnett; his daughter, Sarah Beth Hesse and her husband, John, of Greeley; his step-son, Brian Colburn of Greeley; his mother, Wanda Roberts of Garnett; his sister, Wyonna Gellhaus and her husband, John, of Garnett; and his grandchildren, Tate Michael Hesse, Koby Gehr Hesse, Mason Orson Roberts, and Axel Paige Roberts. Casketbearers were Lee Roberts, John Hesse, Brian Colburn, Jeff Manspeaker, Joe Passantino, and Jack Rundle. The family greeted friends on Sunday, January 3, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Troyer 1970-2005 Memorial services for Robert J. Troyer, 34, Garnett, were Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Amazing Grace Church, Goodrich, KS, with Greg Wolfe officiating. Mr. Troyer died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at Marionville, MO. Robert J. Troyer was born August 31, 1970, at Kansas City, KS, the son of Jerry and Shirley (Church) McCarty. He was a laborer on a bridge crew and worked for Page Construction and Pyramid contracting. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert and Jamie Stahl were married August 11, 1994, at Driggs, ID. Robert is survived by his wife, Jamie, of the home; his sons, Brandon Michael Troyer and Dylan Payne Troyer, of the home; his daughters, Sharon Kay Troyer and KayLea Jo Troyer, of the home; his brothers, Jerry McCarty of California, Dennis McCarty of Clinton, MO, and Walter McCarty and Tom McCarty, both of Mound City; his sisters, Niece McCarty and Shelia McCarty, both of Mound City; and his aunt and uncle, Dennis and Lila McCarty of Mound City. Music selections included “Cowboy Take Me Away”, “If You’re Gone”, “Goodbye To Romance”, and “See You On the Other Side”.
