Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Lone Elm Cemetery, Lone Elm, KS. Mr. Holloway died Sunday, April 10, at Melvern. Lance Andrew Holloway was born May 23, 1985, at Topeka, the son of Donald Eugene and Sheila Christine (Morris) Holloway. He graduated from Marais des Cygnes High School in 2003. Lance worked for Astro Manufacturing of Garnett as a Quality Assurance Manager and also as a forklift operator. He spent most of his life in Osage County, just recently moving to Garnett in the past two years. Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his grandmother, Berniece Morris in 2003; and his uncle, Rick Morris in 1985. Lance is survived by his mother, Christine Holloway of Wichita; his father and step-mother, Donald Holloway of Garnett; his step-mother, Lisa Holloway of Garnett; his brother, Corey Holloway of Mulvane; his sister, Kristen Holloway of Emporia; his grandparents, Neil and Mary Jane Holloway of Kincaid, and B.A. Morris of Burlington; his step-sisters, Andrea Duncan and Allison Duncan, both of Garnett; a sister-in-law, Angie, and a niece, Lillie, of Mulvane; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Musical selections included “Calling All Angels”, “My Immortal”, and “I Will Remember You”. Casketbearers were Chad Rose, Dustin Rose, Seth Adams, Corey Holloway, Kyle Lichtenauer, and Scott Frost. Honorary casketbearers were Ben Holloway, Westin Holloway, Neil Holloway, Jake Holloway, Charlie Morris, Tim Morris, Christopher Morris, Quinton Criqui, James Berry, and Christopher Spillman. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association in honor of Lance’s grandparents. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 2: “John J. Guilfoyle 1928-2005 Funeral Mass for John J. Guilfoyle, 77, Greeley, was Monday, April 11, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greeley with Father George Matz officiating. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery. Mr. Guilfoyle died Thursday, April 7, at Anderson County Hospital. John J. Guilfoyle was born January 1, 1928, at Sperry, OK, the son of Joseph Patrick and Opal Edith (Roles) Guilfoyle. He grew up in Oklahoma, moving to Greeley in 1942 with his family. He entered the United States Navy in 1945, serving until 1947. After being discharged, he returned to Oklahoma before moving to Greeley in 1952. John worked at the Stockyards in Kansas City before moving to Guymon, OK, to work as a cattle buyer for National Beef Packing Company. He returned to Greeley. John and Ruby Rice were married in 1965 at Wilsonville, NE. She preceded him in death in 1989. Mr. Guilfoyle was also preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Opal Guilfoyle; his sister, Mildred Marie Guilfoyle; and his brothers, Patrick Guilfoyle and Thomas Jude Guilfoyle. John is survived by his step-son, Loren Rice of Lincoln, NE; his step-daughters, Connie Brakhahn of Johnson, NE, and Candace Hammond of Paola; his brothers, Bill Guilfoyle of Topeka and Carl Guilfoyle of Greeley; his sisters, Sister Judith Guilfoyle of Oklahoma City, OK, and Margaret Bond of Tulsa, OK; and his grandchildren, Brenda Hammond and Marcus Hammond. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist, and Scott Schulte, vocalist. Musical selections included “Prayer of St. Francis”, “Here I Am Lord”, and “The Lord’s Prayer”. Casketbearers were Dave Guilfoyle, Jason Guilfoyle, John Guilfoyle, Kenneth Guilfoyle, Marty Guilfoyle, and Tom Guilfoyle. Honorary casketbearers were Eric Bone, George E. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 3: “Jessie May Anderson 1918-2005 Graveside services for Jessie May Anderson, 87, Garnett, were Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Garnett Cemetery with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Mrs. Anderson died Sunday, April 10, at Golden Heights Living Center in Garnett. Jessie May Anderson was born January 26, 1918, at Garnett, the daughter of Hurlbert Levi and Florence Ethel (Johnson) Bailey. After graduating from high school, Jessie taught two years at Spring Branch School. She was a homemaker. Jessie and Edward Charles Anderson were married January 15, 1939, at Garnett. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1990. Mrs. Anderson was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Anderson; her parents, Hurlbert and Florence Bailey; two infant sons; and her brothers, Daryl Manlove and Claron Bailey. Jessie is survived by her son, Bill Anderson of Ottawa; her daughter, Dianna Warren of Lawrence; her grandson, Cris Anderson and his wife, Linda; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Casketbearers were Leonard Louk, Dan Mader, Dan Kipper, Duane Kipper, Dale Kueser, and Gail Kueser. Honorary casketbearers were John Kennedy, Mark Stevenson, Orville Sobba, and Ed Wilper.
