Martin McPheron officiating. Interment was in Garnett Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson died early Wednesday morning, June 15, at Specialty Hospital Mid-America, Overland Park. Mary Louise Jackson was born December 17, 1953, at Yates Center, the daughter of Max Eugene and Edith Belle (Sumner) Hardesty. She graduated from Lawrence High School. She lived most of her life in California and spent the last eight years in Garnett. She was a beautician and homemaker. She was married to Stephen Lee Childers and later married Martin Scott Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her father, Max Hardesty; her brother, John Hardesty; and her sister, Aletta Hardesty. Mary is survived by her sons, Nathan Childers of Lenexa, Shane Childers of San Diego, CA, and Max Jackson of Garnett; her daughter, April Jackson of Garnett; her grandchildren, Athena Childers, Anthony Childers, and Averell Childers; her mother, Edith Hardesty of Garnett; her brothers, Edwin Hardesty of Sabetha and Harold Hardesty of Oskaloosa; and her sister, Kathy McCoy of Haughton, LA.
