Interment was in Colony Cemetery. Mrs. Caudell died Thursday, June 23, at Allen County Hospital, Iola. Bettie Jane Caudell was born November 9, 1941, at Ottawa, the daughter of Robert and Clara (Murray) Culler. She was a graduate of Colony High School. She owned and operated Bettie’s Beauty Shop, drove a school bus for Crest USD #479 for 27 years, and enjoyed making pies for the Country Diner. Bettie and Neil Sheldon Caudell were married March 24, 1962, at Iola. Together they raised four children, Kathy, Nancy, Vicky, and Terry. Mrs. Caudell was preceded in death by her son, Terry Sheldon Caudell; her great-grandson, Brayden Yocham; and her parents, Robert and Clara Culler. Bettie is survived by her husband, Neil Sheldon Caudell, of the home; her daughters, Kathy Holloway and her husband, Garry, and their children, Benjamin and Westin of Lone Elm, Nancy Ellington and her husband, Ed, of Colony, and their children, Justin Ellington and his wife, Sarah, of Tulsa, OK, Jeremy Ellington of Iola, and Jamie Yocham and her husband, Derek and their son, Tucker, of Colony, and Vicky Hermreck and her husband, Dennis, and their children, Nicole, Judd, and Paige of Riverbank, CA; her brother, Robert Culler of Colony; her sisters, Arlene (Roush) Allen of Colony and her twin Bonnie Rook of Welda. Music was provided by Bob Roush who sang “Amazing Grace”, and Pam and Chelsea Boucher who sang “How Great Thou Art”. Casketbearers were Bettie’s grandchildren, Benjamin Holloway, Westin Holloway, Nicole Hermreck, Judd Hermreck, Paige Hermreck, Dereck Caudell, Kelcey Caudell, Justin Ellington, Sarah Ellington, Jeremy Ellington, Jamie Yocham, and Derek Yocham, and her great-grandson, TuckerYocham. The family suggests memorial to Colony Community Church. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.” “Will T. Johnston 1909-2005 Funeral services for Will T. Johnston, 96, Liberty, MO, formerly of Westphalia, are Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment is in Cherry Mound Cemetery, Westphalia. Mr. Johnston died Saturday, June 25, at Liberty Hospital. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:00.
