“Danny Ray Heistand

1955-2005

Private memorial services for Danny Ray Heistand, 49, of Bronson, formerly of Joplin, MO, are

planned for a later date.  Mr. Heistand died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Via Christie-St. Joseph

Hospital in Wichita following complications from a September 16, 2004, car accident.

Danny Ray Heistand was born August 21, 1955, at Columbus, the son of Clarence Raymond

Heistand and Christine (Denney) Booth.  He grew up in Columbus, KS, attending schools there. 

He later moved to Joplin, MO, living there until 2004.  Danny was an over the road truck driver.

Danny was united in marriage to Nancy Nelson.  The marriage ended in divorce.

Mr. Heistand was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Raymond Heistand; and an infant

daughter, Tisha Ray Heistand in 1976.

Danny is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Davis of Gardner and Briana Christina Heistand of

Bronson; his mother and step-father, Christine and Richard Booth of Bronson; his brother,

Kenneth Heistand of Topeka; his sister, Glenda Flowers of Topeka; his grandchildren, Garrison

and McKenna Davis; his aunts, Loretta Lane and her husband, Jim, of Joplin, MO, Shirley

Whitely and her husband, George, of Baxter Springs, Margie Jones of Columbus, and Opal Long

Denney of Joplin, MO; and his uncle, Fried Heistand and his wife, Betty, of Columbus.

Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.”
