She donated her body to the Kansas University School of Medicine and no services are planned. Susie Elizabeth McClelland was born March 9, 1917, at Berryton, the daughter of Frank James Stansbury, Sr. and Annie Pearl (Lue) Stansbury. She grew up and lived west of Williamsburg, later moving to the Princeton area. Susie attended Stony Point School in Osage County. In 1990, she moved to Ottawa. She was a homemaker and worked at Parmelee Products for more than 27 years. Later, she worked part-time repairing books for Green Thumb at the Ottawa Library, of which she was also a member. Susie and Maxwell Howard McClelland were married in November of 1932. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1983. Mrs. McClelland was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank James Stansbury, Sr. and Annie Pearl (Lue) Stansbury; her grandson, Douglas Dickinson; and her brothers, Thomas Stansbury, Lue Stansbury, Frank Stansbury, and Leslie Stansbury. Susie is survived by her daughters, Delores Dickinson of Pomona and Kathleen Mundy of Princeton; her grandchildren, Susan Dickinson of Emporia, Yolanda Dickinson of Overbrook, Angela Mundy of Garnett, and Sheldon Mundy III of Princeton; her sisters, Dorothy Beesley and Ruth Carlson, both of Pomona; her brothers, Robert Stansbury of Eufaula, OK, and George Stansbury of Topeka; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. The family suggests memorial contributions to Green Thumb. Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, was in charge of arrangements.” “Henry W. Brown 1913-2005 Funeral services for Henry W. Brown, 91, Princeton, were Monday, July 25, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Interment was in Princeton Cemetery. Mr. Brown died Thursday, July 21, at his home. Henry W. Brown was born August 24, 1913, at Centropolis, the son of John H. and Rosa Esther (Hoover) Brown. He was a lifelong Franklin County resident, having attended Acorn, Agricola, and Mt. Hope rural schools. Henry was a farmer and worked various other jobs, including foreman at Sanders Ranch in Lane, from the late 1960’s until the mid-1970’s. He was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church and the Old Time Fiddlers and Pickers Association. Henry and Mildred A. Mathias were married July 4, 1936, at Garnett. She survives, of the home. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosa Brown; his sisters, Mildred Brown, Wilma Brown, and Mabel Zalitoris; and his brothers, Howard Brown and LeRoy Brown. Henry is also survived by his daughters, Edith Montgomery and Dorothy Sobba, both of Richmond, Ruby Murrow of Ottawa, and Carolyn Brown of the home; his son, Eldon R. Brown of Osawatomie; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Ruhamah Baptist Church, Midland Hospice, or the Franklin County Cancer Foundation. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 3: “Leonard P. Kipper 1908-2005 The Mass of Resurrection for Leonard P. Kipper, 96, of Kansas City, was Saturday, July 23, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scipio. Interment was in St. Boniface Cemetery. Mr. Kipper died Monday, July 18, at Olathe Good Samaritan Center. Leonard P. Kipper was born November 18, 1908, at Scipio, the son of George and Mary Kipper. In the early 1930’s he was an elevator operator at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. For eight years he worked as a chrome inspector at the Sunbeam Company in Chicago, IL. He was a pressman for Greiner-Fifield Lithographing Company in Kansas City, MO, for 20 years. After retirement, he worked part-time at Guardian Angels Catholic Church and the Alameda Plaza Hotel in Kansas City, MO. Leonard is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret; his sons, Gerald Kipper and Leonard Kipper; his daughters, Joan Pilsl, Karen Ryan, Lorna Murray, Mary Tucker, and Sandra Haas; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Raymond Kipper. Music was provided by Mary Milner, organist, and Cecelia Lamb and Ann Lutz, vocalists. Musical selections included “Shepherd Me, O God”, “You Are Mine”, “On Eagles Wings”, and “Ave Maria”. Casketbearers were Ken Pilsl, Michael Ryan, Derek Murray, Patrick Ryan, Mathew Ryan, and Daniel Tucker. Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.” “Dorothy J. Watson 1933-2005 Graveside services for Dorothy J. Watson, 71, Garnett, were Monday, July 25, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at Fontana Cemetery, Fontana, KS. Mrs. Watson died Thursday, July 21, at Anderson County Hospital Long Term Care. Dorothy J. Watson was born September 23, 1933, at Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Glenn and Juanita (Middleton) Feighner. She was a homemaker, and had a collection of dolls and sea shells. Dorothy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Dorothy and Donald Watson were married July 23, 1948, at Akron, CO. He survives, of the home. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Juanita Feighner; and her sister, Marylou Billingsly. Dorothy is also survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Burchett and her husband, Gerald, of Fontana, Robin A. Hopper and her husband, Doug, of LaCygne, and Donna Snavely of Garnett; her sisters, Janet Kay Smith and Patsy Coffey, both of Osawatomie; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness or the LaCygne Library.
