Interment was in Princeton Cemetery. Mr. Spencer died Monday, September 12, at Wellsville Manor Care Center in Wellsville. Roy Lee Spencer was born July 18, 1921, at Parker, the son of Robert Earl and Grace Mae (Nolte) Spencer. He grew up in rural Parker, moving to the Princeton area in 1947. He graduated from Parker High School with the Class of 1939. Roy was a lifelong farmer, and was a member of Ruhamah Baptist church in Rantoul. Roy and Blanche Elizabeth Handle were married January 20, 1948, at Paola. She preceded him in death on October 31, 2001. Mr Spencer was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Grace Spencer; and his brother, Robert Spencer. Roy is survived by his son, Jeff Spencer of Wellsville; his daughter, Becky A. (Spencer) Fitzgerald of Princeton; his sister, Imogene Smith of Olathe; his grandchildren, Kristin Spencer, Michael Lee Reyes, John Reyes, Mandy Henry, and Caleb Reese; and his great-grandchildren, Brandy Sanders, Lillyth Hall, Mallory Moss, Hannah Moss, Victoria Hall, Isaac Henry, and Kaylee Reese. The family suggests memorial contribution to Ruhamah Baptist Church. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.” “Edna Wells 1914-2005 Funeral services for Edna Wells, 91, Moran, are Friday, September 16, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Moran. Interment is in Elsmore Cemetery, Elsmore, KS. Mrs. Wells died Tuesday, September 13 at her home in Moran. A complete obituary will appear in the next Advocate.
