Loper 1916-2005 Funeral services for Irene A. Loper, 89, Greeley, were Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Garnett with Pastor Gary Benjamin officiating. Interment was in Richmond Cemetery at Richmond. Mrs. Loper died Saturday, September 17, at Olathe Medical Center at Olathe. Irene A. Loper was born March 20, 1916, at Irving, KS, the daughter of Rudolph and JoHanna (Rytir) Ingerly. She moved to Greeley in approximately 1945. She owned and operated North Shore Marina at Pomona Lake with her husband, Lewis. She also worked for Sunflower Ammunition for 10 years. Irene and Lewis Elbert Loper were married June 10, 1940, at Butler, MO. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1995. Mrs. Loper was also preceded in death by her son, Norman Loper on July 7, 2004. Irene is survived by nieces and nephews. Music was provided by Jeanine Zentner, organist, and Bill Craig, vocalist. Musical selections included “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”. Casketbearers were Carl Kratzberg, Ben Rockers, and Ron Lickteig. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
