Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.” “Rose M. ‘Marty’ Ralston 1924-2005 Funeral services for Rose M. ‘Marty’ Ralston, 81, Ottawa, were Thursday, October 13, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa. Interment was in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. Mrs. Ralston died Monday, October 10, at Richmond Health Care Center in Richmond. Rose M. Ralston was born June 2, 1924, at Ottawa, the daughter of Emile J. and Clara (Shawver) Barnes. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa, except for the years between 1951 and 1957 when she moved several times with her husband’s work in construction. Marty graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1942. She worked as a secretary for the First United Methodist Church for several years, at Bingo Dog Food, and as office manager for a local doctors’ office from January, 1965, until 1973 when she and her husband purchased The Maple Shoppe and started making custom drapes. After they sold The Maple Shoppe, she continued making drapes out of her home until retiring in 1988. Marty was a member of First United Methodist Church, Oxford Service Forum Sunday School Class, and the Dorcas Circle of the United Methodist Women. She was a life member of the Ottawa Promenaders and was a member of the Pioneer Plus Square Dance Club. Marty and James Evans ‘Jim’ Ralston were married June 29, 1942, at Harrisonville, MO. He survives, of their home. Mrs. Ralston was preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Clara Barnes; her brother, Richard ‘Bud’ Barnes; and her great-grandson, Chet Fredricks. Mary is also survived by her daughters, Catherine ‘Kay’ Louise Larrick Wilbur and Carolyn Ann Elder, both of Ottawa; her son, James ‘Jim’ E. Ralston, Jr. of Shawnee; her sisters, Doris Vincent of Omaha, NE, and Lois Morris of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Brenda Fredricks of Williamsburg, Ryan Schnoke of San Antonio, TX, Trisha Kaub of Ottawa, Traci Martin of Lubbock, TX, Tori Wilson of Ottawa, and Heather Ralston of Salt Lake City, UT; her great-grandchildren, Cole Fredricks, Jill Fredricks, Jessica Schnoke, Levi, Tyler, and Zachery Kaub, Seth Martin, Audrey Martin, Jared Martin, Kelsi Wilson, and David Wilson; and her great-great-granddaughters, Hayley and Mariah Fredricks. Milton Tucker 1924-2005 Funeral services for H. Milton Tucker, 81, Ottawa, were Thursday, October 13, 2005, at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Interment was in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Tucker died Sunday, October 9, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa. H. Milton Tucker was born March 15, 1924, at Williamsburg, the son of Harry and Dora (Jensen) Tucker. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, he grew up in Williamsburg, moving to Princeton in 1949 and to Ottawa in 1960. Milton graduated from Williamsburg High School with the Class of 1942. He was a welder for the Santa Fe Railroad for 33 years; mostly based in Chanute, retiring in 1986. He was also a lifelong farmer and cattleman. He was past Master and life member of Williamsburg Anchor Lodge #224 for 58 years. Milton and Nathalee Bliss were married May 4, 1956, at Williamsburg. She survives, of their home. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dora Tucker; and his sisters, Louise Tucker and Wilma Davidson. Milton is also survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Kim Tucker and Joe and Linda Tucker, all of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Aaron Nichols, Jessica Nichols, Amanda Tucker, Corey Tucker, Katie Hunziker, and Chris Hunziker. Egidy 1960-2005 Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick A. Egidy, 45, Greeley, was Saturday, October 15, 2005, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Greeley with Father Brian Klingele officiating. Interment was in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Egidy died Tuesday, October 11, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe. Patrick A. Egidy was born June 20, 1960, at Garnett, the son of Ralph William and Mary Ann (Morgan) Egidy. He was a lifelong resident of Greeley, where he was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a former member of the Co-Op board of directors. His hobbies were farming and spending time with his children. Pat was a graduate of Garnett High School with the Class of 1978. Mr. Egidy was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Egidy in 1992; his mother, Mary Ann in 1984; and his brothers, Charles Egidy in 1974 and David Egidy in 1973. Pat is survived by his son, David Egidy of Greeley; his daughters, Sarah Egidy and Lauren Egidy, both of Greeley; his children’s mother, Deborah Egidy of Greeley; his brother, Terry Egidy with his wife, Tammy, of Greeley; his sisters, Julie Worster and her husband, Lee, of Smithville, MO, and Dorothy Erwin and her husband, Tim, of Viola, KS; 15 nieces and nephews and two great-nieces. Music was provided by Mary Milner, organist, and Jane Lickteig, vocalist. Musical selections included “Be Not Afraid”, “Prayer of St. Francis”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, and “You Are Near”. Casketbearers were Curt Guilfoyle, Pat Adkinson, Mike Hammond, Tim Morgan, Alan Peterson, and J.C. Bowman. Memorial contributions may be made to Pat’s Children’s Education Fund.
