Inurnment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa. Mrs. Korkames died Wednesday, October 19, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Julia A. Korkames was born August 14, 1927, at Fort Smith, AR, the daughter of Julian Francis and Callie Eula (Shinn) Keeton. She grew up in Van Buren, AR. After her marriage, she moved to Fort Smith, AR. In 1958, she moved with her family to Ottawa to start the Famous Chili Company in Kansas. In January of 2004, she moved to Richmond. Judy graduated from St. Anne’s Academy, in Fort Smith, AR, with the Class of 1944. She was a homemaker, seamstress, and for 17 years, a Certified Nurses Aide for Crestview Nursing Home and Ottawa Retirement Village, both in Ottawa. Judy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Altar Society in Ottawa. On June 15, 1946, Judy was united in marriage with George Albert Korkames in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1981. Mrs. Korkames was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Edward Korkames; her parents, Julian and Callie Keeton; and 12 brothers and sisters. Judy is survived by her children, Shirley Ann Griffith of Lapine, OR, Judy Jane DiCarlo of Framingham, MA, George Albert Korkames, Jr. of Ottawa, Gloria Marie Crane of Ottawa, Jesse Eugene Korkames of Arlington, TX, and Mary Catherine Ruds of Lincoln, CA; her grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Domey of Dudley, MA, and Sarah Beth Korkames and Andrea Marie Crane, both of Ottawa; and her great-grandson, Carson Joseph Domey of Dudley, MA. The family suggests memorials to Sacred Heart Altar Society. Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.” Page 5, Column 4: “Lynn T. Dutton 1914-2005 Funeral services for Lynn T. Dutton, 91, Iola, were Monday, October 24, 2005, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. Interment was in Highland Cemetery in Iola. Mr. Dutton died Friday, October 21, at Allen County Hospital. Lynn T. Dutton was born July 30, 1914, at Quincy, KS, the son of William and Mary Etta (Gillespie) Dutton. The family moved to a farm near Neosho Falls and he graduated from Neosho Falls High School. On February 9, 1935, Lynn married May S. Stovall and they lived and farmed in the Geneva area. They later moved to a farm near Bayard and then in 1949, moved to Kincaid where they operated the locker plant. They left that occupation in 1968 and moved to Iowa where they lived two years before moving to Iola. He became involved with the formation of the Kincaid Elevator before retiring. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Lions Club. Mr. Dutton was preceded in death by his wife, May, on September 30, 1991; his brother, Orville Dutton; and his sister, Wilma Johnson. Lynn is survived by his son, Elton Dutton of Auburn, CA; his daughter, Linda Howater of Monticello, IL; his brothers, Everett Dutton of El Campo, TX, and Jay Dutton of Colony; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Allen County Health Care Foundation Hospice.
