John Hobert died Sunday morning. He was 73 years of age and had been a member of the Baptist church for about 25 years. He was perfectly resigned and ready to go. His daughter Mrs. Runner of Iowa came in Friday morning. His funeral was held at the family residence by Rev. P. G. Clark and the remains were laid to rest in the city cemetery. He had been sick for a long time and his death was not unexpected. The funeral services were held at the family residence Monday, conducted by Revs. Clark and Gillham, after which the remains were interred in the city cemetery.
